Clayton Collier is the Sports Director at 6 News WOWT. He anchors sports weeknights at 5, 6:30, and 10 p.m.

Clayton comes to 6 News WOWT from WATN in Memphis, where he served as the lead sports anchor and won back-to-back Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for his sports reporting. Over his six years in the Bluff City, Clayton covered the Memphis Grizzlies, University of Memphis Tigers, and Ole Miss Rebels. Some of his favorite assignments include the NBA Playoffs, the Cotton Bowl, the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, the PGA Tour's FedEx St. Jude Championship, and the Tigers hiring Penny Hardaway as their head coach.

He is a Long Island native but is no stranger to the Midwest; before his time in Memphis, Clayton worked at KFYR-TV in Bismarck, ND, where he met his wife, Emily.

Clayton graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University with a degree in journalism. He also served as sports director for WSOU-FM, where he called Seton Hall men’s and women’s basketball games.

He is excited to get back to his Big East roots here in Omaha and experience the city's terrific sports scene!
