Renee Romo is a Sierra Vista native who attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University where she also minored in political science. During her time at ASU, Romo interned with the Arizona School Board Association’s news website and worked with PolitiFact. In her senior year, Romo was selected as a White House Correspondents’ Association Scholar and moved to Washington D.C., where she worked at the Cronkite News Bureau before graduation. The experience helped fuel her passion for politics.

A 2-year-old girl died last week after she was left in a vehicle in Arizona. Now, authorities say her father, 37-year-old Christopher Scholtes, may have been playing a video game when his daughter died.
