person was saved after a rescue technician found them floating in the water at Madison River Park, according to crews with the Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad.
Officials said a rescue technician, Ryan Clark, was near the river with his family when they said he heard screams for help.
Rescue Technician Clark found a person floating in the water unresponsive. Officials said Clark swam to the patient and pulled them from the water. He then began patient care and started CPR.
Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad said they are thankful to the agencies that assisted in helping the victim.
