Live Music

July 19: David Cook - See the "American Idol" winner and songwriter at The Rialto Theatre.

July 19: The NCMA and Cat's Cradle Present The Connells - This concert at the Joseph M. Bryan Jr. Theater in the Museum Park features one of North Carolina's most successful indie rock bands The Connells and their special guests, rock ’n’ roll band Dillon Fence and alt-rock band Love Tractor. Tickets start at $32.

July 19: Taylor's Version: A Swiftie Dance Party - A DJ will be playing every Taylor era during this event at Kings in downtown Raleigh.

July 20: Tar Heel Troubadours: Henhouse Prowlers - The North Carolina Museum of History will host this event starting at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $12.

July 20: The Queens of R&B: Xscape & SWV - See legendary groups XSCAPE and SWV with guests MÝA, Total and 702 at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek.

July 20: Jeffrey Obsborne and Evelyn King - See the show at Koka Booth Amphitheatre. (Note: The Whispers were also scheduled to perform, but were unable to make it to North Carolina due to the global IT outage.)

July 21: Third Eye Blind with Yellowcard - See the bands at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek

Food and Fun

July 19: Sunset Sweets - Watch the sunset at Bond Park in Cary while you enjoy delicious and fun food and drinks. The event is 6:00-8:30 p.m. July’s event will feature donuts, french pastries and drinks form Sodabox.

July 19: Durham Foodie Fare - The MAKRS Society presents: Durham Foodie Fare at Durham Central Park from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. This is a foodie and art market. Admission is free.

July 19: Summer Food Truck Rodeo - The Town of Garner will host this event on East Main Street from 6 to 10 p.m. It will include a food truck rodeo and artisan vendors. There will also be live music and a kid friendly zone with activities, face-painting and more.

July 20: 9th annual Blueberry Fest - This is the 9th annual Blueberry Fest at Cedar Grove Bluberry Farm. Try blueberry lemonade, adult beverages, and wood-fired pizza. The festival kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $5.

July 20: Alice in Wonderland Cocktail Tea Party at Nomad Bar - Enjoy a whimsical afternoon filled with cocktails and tea as you are transported down the rabbit hole into a magical world inspired by Lewis Carroll's classic tale. The event is from 5 to 8 p.m and admission is $60.

July 21: Jingle in July Summer Party - Enjoy the beats from DJ Gummy, live music from Kevin Flinn, delicious food from Craft Public House, summer drinks from Kona Big Wave & Southern Glazers Wine + Spirts, cool off at the ice cream station, and cheer on the duck races at Tap Yard Raleigh. This event is family-friendly event. Food available with advance ticket purchase only

Family Fun

July 20: Moth-ing for Science - Celebrate National Moth Week with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences at Prairie Ridge at 8:30 p.m. Enjoy a brief orientation in the outdoor classroom, then head out to the blacklights to see what’s out and about throughout the night. Bring a flashlight, a camera (if you have one), and your moth questions. There will be activities for kids, Moth Bingo (with prizes!) for everyone and an activity hosted by the North Carolina Entomological Society.

July 20: Meet the Pollinators - The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences will host this event from 10 to 11 a.m. You will learn all about the pollinators you are familiar with, and learn about some that you may not realize are garden helpers. This program is for ages 8 and up. Please dress for the weather, closed-toed shoes recommended. Meet at meet at the green metal entrance gate. No registration necessary.

Movies

July 19: Movie Night: Jurassic Park - Enjoy a family movie night under the starts at Downtown Cary Park on Friday starting at 6 .m. The free movie screening will include activities and games. There will be with popcorn and snacks from Market 317. Food trucks will also be on site.

July 19: The Rocky Horror Theatre Show - This show will be at The Rialto at 11:55 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 p.m. and tickets are $10.

July 20: Family Movie Nights: Kung Fu Panda 4 - The Town of Wake Forest will host this free movie screening at Joyner Park on Saturday night. Pre-show fun starts at 7:30 p.m. with a character meet and greet and a craft. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m.

July 20: Free Retro Family Day: The Princess and the Frog - Carolina Theatre in Durham will host this free screening on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Vouchers are available at the box office 30 minutes prior to the screening.
