The Shreveport Times Photo Contest returns July 1 with theme 'Two Cities, One Heart'
The Times and the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau will once again join together for the annual Shreveport Times Photo Contest. The tourist bureau picked the theme, "Two Cities, One Heart," to align with its Visit Shreveport-Bossier 10-year Destination Master Plan.
“We picked the theme ‘Two Cities, One Heart’ because we want to encourage visitors and residents to see that we are a destination with enough flavor, style and soul for two cities," said Stacy Brown, Visit Shreveport-Bossier President, and CEO. "This photo contest is an opportunity to highlight locals’ favorite destinations and attractions in our city, and to share a ‘whole lotta US’ with the world.”
This year’s judges are Shreveport Timers editor Misty Castile and photographer Henrietta Wildsmith, Visit Shreveport-Bossler’s Emma Boone and Twin Blends Photography’s Mark and Mike Mangham.
“We have spent the last several years looking through hundreds of thousands of amazing photos from local legendary photographers of the past and can’t wait to see what treasures today’s current photographers come up with!” said the Mangham brothers.
Prizes
First Place - $50 Visa Gift card, $100 in gift cards to local eateries, Visit Shreveport-Bossier merchandise, a signed Twin Blends print and the winning photo printed in The Shreveport Times.
Second Place - $75 in gift cards to local eateries and Visit Shreveport-Bossier merchandise and the winning photo printed in The Shreveport Times.
Third Place - $50 in gift cards to local eateries Visit Shreveport-Bossier merchandise and the winning photo printed in The Shreveport Times.

Include your name and title of the photo in the email
Limit five entries per person, but one image per email. Deadline is July 30.
By entering you are allowing The Times and Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau to use your photos in print, online and social media sites for this and future photo contest promotional purposes.
Winners will be notified and expected to claim their prize at The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau office at 629 N. Spring St. in downtown Shreveport by Aug. 31.
"We have two cities full of some of the most creative and talented people I know. I am looking forward to seeing, what I am sure will be incredible submissions," Shreveport Times editor Misty Castile said.
