We were looking for movers to move our stuffs to Seattle. We searched for weeks to find a mover that meet out needs. We called lots of mover company , but it was hard to find one that match with our needs and affordable. Until my friend who lives in LA saw the Brother movers truck and send the picture to us and he said the reviews is very good.
My husband called the company and talked to Jack ( the manager) . He is amazing. He explained everything very clear and he is very hellpful and the price is very affordable. Unfortunately we got long covid and had to change schedule twice ,but Jack was very nice to reschedule without penalty.
The truck came ontiime 8 AM with 4 movers since we have 3 stories. OMG, they worked so fast without complaining anything and they worked non stop for 4 hours and they always smile . 29 ft truck full with our belongings.
When they arrived in Seattle only 2 movers. We were worry if they will be very tired , but we were surprised that they emptied the truck within 5 hours ( probably 80 boxes or more) and furnitures, TV etc.
They kept smiling, no complain at all and they are very strong .. and they also very careful , so nothing broken or missing..
We so thankful to Brother movers especiallly to Jack and all the movers. We highly recommend them .
And my suggestion, please tip the movers generously ,
even the tips already included, especially when you are satisfied with their work and if reaching lunch time, I suggest to buy them lunch box since it is hard for them to bring the big truck just to buy food , especiallly for long distance moving .

Added a star as Jack was quite insistent on showing his commitment to customers. I had a hard time trying to determine what Brothers Movers could do after the fact since the damage was already done. They refunded me an hour's worth of the moving fee (based on my recommendation). It doesn't correct the damage but I understand that he was very sorry about my experience and wanted to do something for us.
I also talked to Jane on his team who is focused on follow up with customers. What I really appreciate is that Jack and his team strive for customer satisfaction and truly appreciate customer loyalty. This is not always the case with business owners. He shared that he will do more to train his team and reinforce for them not to take shortcuts to avoid damage in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 9, 2023Previous reviewI have used Brother Movers for 2 moves in the last year. I went back to them after a long hiatus as they helped me move many years ago from San Jose to Burlingame and it was stellar. This was back when Jack was still doing the actual day of moving work.
This recent move is the last time I will use them. The training is not strong enough, and we had a lot of damage to our furniture and even the door jamb this time. Most of the furniture damage was due to the poor manner they packed the moving truck. I watched the crew bang furniture into the door jamb, and they almost closed the truck door crunching my furniture if my husband and I did not see and yell at them to stop the motorized door. As a continue to unpack, I am finding new areas where my furniture is messed up.
The prior move, the crew was very good but were so slow and took too long that we questioned whether they were pros. We provided the feedback and this time the move was 6 hours, but really poor experience. And after the overall poor work, they still pressured me to tip $10 per hour each for 3 movers.

We used brother movers for shifting our home, they are reliable, fast and efficient. We messed up our appointment dates but Jack from the team was so helpful to quickly put us back in their next schedule. The team who came was fast and efficient, all we did is show them the box and said where to keep. They are affordable compared to all movers in Bay Area, we would definitely use them again. I have been using brother movers for past 11 years in Bay Area for about 4 times. I have to say they are the most cost efficient and reliable movers.
Their manager Jack is very responsive and arranged my schedule instantly given a short notice. Amazingly I can see how they strive to improve their services over the years. In-time customer communication, no hidden fees, and the movers are extremely responsible and take good care of all my items.
This time, both movers are really good. I can see a huge difference from another company my wife used before we got married. Look, if you do your business honestly like this, I'm paying my tips with all my pleasure.

We used Brother Movers 3 times in the last 2 months in the course of remodeling our home. We needed movers who were flexible enough to work with us on the process of getting things out of the house, then completely emptying the house and then moving us back in when the remodel was done.
Not only did Jack from Brother Movers come over and put together a custom plan at an extremely reasonable price but they stayed in contact throughout calling me beforehand and afterwards each time to make sure everything had gone smoothly.
When the time came to move all our furniture back in, being careful of our new hardwood floor and new paint they did a great job. They wore booties and took their shoes off and put down cloth and paper. They protected the walls and door ways. We had brought some extra protection for the floor and the put it under every pile of boxes.
We had bought felt furniture pads and were worried about attaching them as the furniture was brought in. But they put our felt on all our furniture themselves, as they brought it in, something we had worried about.
And they came in below the estimate.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Fourth time using this company (and won't be the last). Moving is challenging, expensive, and stressful. However, the Brother crew make it as easy on you as they can and their quotes are reasonable.
Jack, the owner is kind and considerate (big kudos to him for hiring great people and ensuring his crew treat clients similarly).
All the employees of this company I've interacted with are kind and very hard working. In my experience, they've been careful to wrap things, assemble and disassemble furniture and even throw away junk (extra charge of course). They've been accommodating of my changing situation on short notice by providing more trucks, staying late to ensure everything was unpacked on a long distance move, keeping my stuff in storage when I ran out of options due to space constraints (extra charge but reasonable). I hired Brother Movers through Yelp, for its good reviews and the Yelp star on the name. I've moved several times, this is the worst experience. Everything they did was for dragging the time. The movers first told me they could not find the place, and wasted 15 mins more to arrive to Public Storage! They parked well in my narrow resident street, but could not park in well-designed public storage unloading zone! And since they parked right behind cars, they have to move the truck again! They even broke my big expensive vase! They did mention that they provide free insurance, but I never know that is insure by weight $0.60/pound! So my $599 vase was covered only $20! Even worse, one mover asked me to try to weight the broken vase, and my finger was cut! Since I realized that they deliberately slow down the process, I had to join the move myself!

I'm sorry to say, from your comments, I do not see a sincere apology and any intention of taking responsibility for addressing and rectifying issues that already arise, at all.
* I could not believe that there is not one single word in your comments on my wound caused by your workers! Let alone other consequences caused by me helping the move! I hired you only because I couldn't do it! But you made me do it! That freaks me out since HEALTH is not an area for you to consider!
* Why I mention 15 minutes more late? Because the distance was only 6 minutes!
* About the dump, there were only 2 wood pieces from furniture. They've already been cut and thrown away. Thanks for your offer. Oh, did your worker mention that I gave my rarely used window air conditioner to a mover for exchange of dumpling the wood boards? Your workers could use my time to take the air conditioner, but couldn't just cut the wood and throw them away after work? Guess you want to mention a looked-new bike that I want to 'dump' too? Just to be nice to ask your worker first, my neighbor took it afterwards.
* how could you say that the vase value was inflated? The price tag was there. I did not make it myself. Did your mover tell you that I moved it here on my own? because it is so valuable that I do not trust others. I do not believe that questioning people's honesty is the way to apologize and take responsibility for addressing and rectifying issues that already arise.

We have taken note of your review. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and understand your frustration.
We should have reimbursed you better than $20, our apologies, also we heard from mover later, that when you asked to dispose your furniture for free, he refused and told you to get a quote from office, which must make you even unhappier. I wish we had chance to consider that option and possibly decide to take that option happily.
As a company, we value our customers' satisfaction and strive to find mutually beneficial solutions in situations like these.
So, we decided to call you and discuss further, however, we were not able to help further since the significant amount of reimbursement you asked, which is $5000, everyone from the company was so surprised. We ended up not dealing further with you due to the significant gap between your request and what we consider to be reasonable.
We also consider the estimated value you mentioned for the vase may be significantly inflated.
We understand the sentimental value attached to personal belongings, and acknowledge that sometimes mistakes happen, and we take responsibility for addressing and rectifying any issues that may arise. but it is important to maintain fairness and balance in finding a resolution that respects the interests of both parties.

I tried another bay area moving company 2 years ago and now I know they sucked because Brother Movers was sooo much better!!! Hire Brother Movers even for peninsula moves.
Brother Movers rocked in terms of how they packed things, their speed at packing, and ability to know when to do their own thing vs when to ask me questions (eg, "we're finishing up, do you need us to pack anything else?").
They spoke basic English, enough to coordinate easily with them. (The other company I hired they spoke Chinese only which sucked.)
When you first hire them, you'll talk to Jack who speaks perfect English. He was all business which waa what I was looking for -- told me prices upfront so there was no hidden fees or surprises.
When the movers come day of, they time stamp the start of the move so there's no ambiguity, you sign, and then once they're done, they time stamp the end of the move and you sign and pay. They prefer cash so mid-move, we went to the bank.

Truly the easiest, best moving experience we could have hoped for. I called Jack in a panic the day before we were supposed to move, our u-haul plans having fallen through. Jack was able to arrange to have our entire apartment worth of boxes picked up the NEXT day! And they moved our whole apartment to a new state. It was amazing and so easy and everyone was so friendly. The movers themselves were also so fast and efficient. Brother Movers is also the most adorable movers I have found in the South Bay! Some places quoted me $6-8k for the same job. Jack gave me a upfront, flat rate fee that was under $2k, about what you would pay to load and drive a huge uhaul truck yourself!

It's my 3rd time moving with Brother Movers and I'm still very happy with the service. In fact, I'm very happy to see the improved experience! Our movers were great. A lot of hard work from them. But they took great care of our things.
I've since recommended Brother Movers to all my friends. The customer service team (Jack, Diana, Kelly) are all super attentive and responsive. The moving crews have always been great -- swift, accommodating, friendly, fast and respectful.
My recent move took 5.5 hours and it was really a lot of hard work. But the team did not complain nor slow down. It's impressive. I definitely tipped them and treated everyone to a nice chilled soda, watermelon and ice cream too!
