D'Arcy's has the best cheese sauce for their horseshoe-or pony if your like me and don't have room for the whole horse. They also offer a wide range of meat/meat substitutes which is nice. They have the old stand by burger or turkey, buffalo chicken, supreme, portabella, veggie and the list goes on. Pretty much everything here is great. Irish nachos are another favorite-think waffle cut fries, covered in nacho toppings and the delicious cheese sauce. But, if you are in Springfield-you must get a horseshoe and this is a great place for a taste of Springfield's specialty.

Always plenty on your plate and prices are not bad either! Highly recommend this place.

I've been here many times but not usually for lunch. The restaurant was crowded, always a good sign, but I didn't have to wait long. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately by staff and engaged by fellow diners offering recommendations. Such a great atmosphere.

They always have choices for their soups, as well as the chili which is a mainstay. I opted for a classic Reuben sandwich today. I sat down at 12:10 and had my food and beverage by 12:23. If I had to be back to work by 1, I would have had plenty of time.

Highly recommended for convenience, food and atmosphere.

Nice clean place with super low prices and great service. The food was basically worth the super low price, at best.

This is supposedly an Irish pub but the corned beef and cabbage was an embarrassment to Irishmen.

It was deli corned beef heated up on a flat grill (like for a Reuben), bland mashed potatoes and a ton of boiled cabbage. But none were cooked together or had any of the traditional Irish flavor.

Prob a great place for pub food but don't order any traditional Irish food and expect to get something Irish.

Again.. it's all about consistency. D'arcy's is really good. Horseshoes are the centerpiece of their menu, but the members of our party have sampled other items on their menu.. the walleye dinner, the cheeseburger, the cheese curds... and they are all above average. The steady flow of regulars lets you know everything you need to know about D'arcy's Pint. We arrived with a table for 12 tonight, and we were seated within 20 minutes on their patio. The weather was perfect. The food was delicious as usual. The service was great. I went with the Mac Daddy Horseshoe, which was a nod to McDonalds Big Mac, and it was amazing. No complaints. No reason to not stop here while traveling through Springfield, IL.. D'arcy's checks all the boxes. Well done.

      Mac Daddy Horseshoe. Ridiculous.

Had to come while we were in town on a work trip. We heard the Horseshoe is what Springfield and D'arcys Pint do best! Service was surprisingly quick since this place is packed at all hours. Food was even better.

If you're even in Springfield, this is a must!

What is Springfield IL known for? A dish called the horseshoe. Now, before I went anywhere (to try); I asked the hotel staff. Two ladies at the desk, (both said in unison): D Arcy's - I need to go to D Arcy's....so I did. I was skeptical of what "horseshoe" was going to be like....and the dish was crazy-good!

A horseshoe consists of "small extrude" crinkle cut fries; a beef patty and cheese sauce. This place separates themselves (with) their cheese sauce; it's just superior! As I understand, it's a blend of cheeses...that come together and taste great on its own. But the fries...have a crispy cook to them...and they're done on inside quite well. Then you come a great beef patty flavor. This whole dish flat works!

And look at the tables around you: everybody is having this dish.....horseshoes are all over the place!

      Horseshoe.

Service was great. Ordered an appetizer, sauted mushrooms, with cheese, and crusty bread. No cheese but lots of mushrooms. Would not order again. Ordered pot roast dinner to go. Came packed and bagged. When got home missing mash potatoes, gravey, soup. Only had meat and microwaved frozen vegetables. Called and they will make it right. Big thing, check your order before u leave.

Family and I came here and enjoyed the environment so much! The food was delicious! The staff were all super kind and very helpful! We went during a very busy time (dinner rush) but surprisingly we were seated immediately after arriving. We had went to a different restaurant beforehand but the parking lot said "hope you're willing to wait awhile" lol
So we came to Darcy's instead and are glad we did! We have a little one with us and the staff were kind and aware of her presence. Based on this experience alone, I would definitely recommend Darcy's! I'll be back for another review in a few months.

As usual, Darcy's never disappoints! I come here every time I come home to visit. So my cousin and I both ordered the Springfield famous "Horseshoe" (google it!). We actually ordered the smaller version the "ponyshoe". I had the breaded chicken, and my cousin had the buffalo chicken. We both ordered cheese sauce on the side. It's delicious either way but I prefer to keep my breading crispy. Brooklyn was awesome, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. We went at lunch so it's always a little wait (15 min). I had a Dogfish IPA while I waited. A great Irish restaurant with a small pub feel. LOVE IT!
