This is the best bang for your buck that nightlife has ever seen - maybe :) First of all, it costs nothing to get in which is wonderful for groups that don't want to spend a fortune for a good time. Also, every time that I have been there, the crowd was always been warm...It feels like an easy place to strike up conversation with your neighbor. Some nights people are actually dancing with one another to the music! Its an all around good time! Again, I recommend coming with some friends - Its more fun to share the laughs/music with some people you know! This place has surely helped create some of my favorite nights on the town!

Love this place! Stayed at Niko hotel and this venue was recommended. If you're in SF, this place is definitely a must. We had such a blast singing along and dancing. I will 100% come back and spread the word!

What a night! We saw the show last night (07/15) and the duo, Bre and Nathan, put together one stellar performance after another! The first time I saw this show was on Feb 19 when Nathan performed with Greg! Nathan won many hearts and one of them was mine, so now I just stalk him on Instagram and come to Johnny Foley's when he's performing!

The people at this bar are phenomenal and such a sport, there is never a dull moment! AND: if you're looking for ideas for date night, bachelorette, birthday, any kind of celebration really - look no further!!

Some things to keep in mind:
      - Don't get discouraged when you see fewer people at the beginning of a show, you'll soon be in a sea of people who start entering around 10-10:30 and then the party just gets better and better!
      - There's a cover charge of $10 (remember to bring cash)!

Bre and Nathan being magical with their many talents

It was the worst piano bar, I have ever been too. They didn't play one of my requests. They were only worried about the birthday party that was there. Also, the woman singer had a horrible voice. None of the songs even sounded like they were supposed to since they played the songs to fast and sang like shir. 1They didn't finish songs. It was $20 entrance fee and it wasn't worth $.50. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

It's always a good time at Johnny Foleys dueling pianos! This is one of my favorite spots in SF, and I couldn't wait for it to reopen post-covid.

Things have changed since the pandemic. As of August 2021, the cover charge has increased to $20, they're only open Fridays and Saturdays (instead of 4 days per week) and only till 12:30am though I think doors close at midnight right now, mask wearing is encouraged/mandated when not eating or drinking, and it's not crowded even on a Saturday night! That's a huge plus. I've never actually gotten seating before because the place used to be so packed, you could barely move. But I don't mind either way, because even a drunk crowd is a fun crowd. No matter who the pianists are, they know how to put on a good show. And I've been here many times, so I've seen a wide range of players.

The drinks are a bit expensive, but they're good, and the waitstaff is helpful and attentive, I've never had a problem. Also, they do serve food downstairs with the dueling pianos, till 10pm.

This is a great music venue to have a fun night out with friends or even a date where you can sing with the crowd, laugh at the entertainment, and just enjoy your time. And I like the unique piano arrangements to different songs, the way they add some creativity to the music.

The staff is excellent. They know how to hustle and keep your food and drinks moving. I'm a vegetarian and was delighted to see they had vegetarian stew. I was pleasantly surprised by the umami of the dish and that they used nicer vegetables such as brussels sprouts and asparagus rather than loading it up with cheap filler like onions and bell peppers. A deeper dish with more broth would be great!
My dining companions all enjoyed their food as well including excellent bread, drunken muscles and other dishes.

All I can say is we had so much fun! They played "Devil went down to Georgia" on the piano and nailed it. Entertainers had such great attitudes. My husband still talks about wanting to go back.

This place is so much fun. Great ambiance and great cocktails and great place to let your hair down. Cover charge is $20 and do carry change for the piano players for requested songs and they do let you Venmo them as well. Definitely an evening of fun.

This place is so lame. The piano players talk more about how much people are tipping them to play a song than actually singing. There is already a $20.00 cover at the door. This place is worse than a strip club. At least strippers don't comment about how much they make per dance to the audience. Which to be completely honest I don't even believe the sales pitch. I would rather stay home and play the music.

We love Jonny Foley's Dueling Pianos, this is such a great place to go when visiting San Francisco. We have been multiple times, more than we can count and we ALWAYS have a great time. The musicians are so much fun and extremely talented. The menu is small, fries and sides, but tasty, only wish we could order the shepherds pie from the restaurant menu. If you're in the city, stop by Foley's - it's a blast!
