Do they sell anything frozen for to-go?

      A:

I don't think they have anything frozen on the menu. The food always tastes fresh and amazing. Their staff arrives early to start prep and cleaning.

Placed my order online with no trouble. Walked to the restaurant that was very busy. The young lady that waited on me was pleasant and thankful. I picked up my order with ease and walked back to my office. The onions pancakes were crisp and flavorful. The chicken liang si bao were delicious. I loved how they have juice inside of each dumpling so that they were juicy and chewy and super delicious. Now I understand why this restaurant is so busy!

This place is a definitely a must try if you are looking for some delicious Chinese dumplings. The service was ok and the ambiance was cozy. There's definitely a wait and you wishlist when you get there. There is also an outdoor seating too.

The chili oil was really good here and I recommend asking for it. The beef tongue appetizer was delicious. It was savory and tender. The numbing xiao long bao is not numbing but it is a must get. The pork is tender and the soup was flavorful. The beef tongue and the numbing xiao long bao were the stars of the night. The Dan Dan noodle was ok it was a bit sweet but still tasty. The pig ear was a good side appetizer. We also go the fish paste noodles and k would not recommend that. It wasn't flavorful and tasted plain.

Omg! So good! When we arrived just before opening time, there was a line and we were worried. Don't be worried, even with a line, they will get you in because things move fast. It didn't feel rushed at all but it was fast.

We had a good idea of what we wanted because we already looked at the menu online. A few things were different in the store. They came, super nice, we ordered, they put a ticket on our table, and with 5 minutes things started happening. Which is perfect.

Cucumbers are amazing and light to start. Then fried pork bao, then green onion pancake, then spring rolls, then soup dumplings, then spicy dumplings, then wings.

It was interesting there are almost no side sauces, but we didn't need them. I did not really like the veggie dumplings.

Visited dumpling home because our good experience last time! We were seated in less than 30 mins on a Tuesday at lunch time.

Dry fried wings: The thicker pieces of chicken were raw on the inside and I noticed some other people who ordered them had the same thing. No one really said anything it seemed however, definitely a risk for salmonella. The servers also didn't say anything when they picked up the plates from the table.

Cucumbers: I thought they were lacking flavor, bland this time around. We ended up adding some chili oil for some flavor.

What a fun and delicious Chinese wonton noodle place in Hayes Valley. We opted to sit outside, but the inside ambience looks wonderful. The plating and the ceramic ware made the food extra special. Service was fast.

Dropped in for a quick bite with a friend and it did not disappoint! We were in a rush so just grabbed a few items, but I wish we were there for a full on meal, because it was great!
We got their tofu noodle salad and chicken soup dumplings.
I can't want to go back to try more and I need to try their pan fried dumplings!!

After many times being intimidated by the line, I finally committed to waiting on a Sunday night for a party of three. I was pleasantly surprised that the wait went semi quickly (35ish min), so I think the line is more attainable than anticipated if you have a group of friends you'd like to catch up with anyways!

The ambiance is nice and simple, with an outdoor seating area that looks pleasant on warmer evenings. Our food was quite good--I can see what the lines are for! We got the scallion pancake, the garlic noodles, the pan fried beef bao, the pork XLB, the green beans, and some of the shrimp chive dumplings. Everything was super tasty, though while the XLB and pan fried bao were outstanding, the dumplings were great but not super amazing.

I think if you go on a slightly less busy day, it's a great meal, but I'm not sure that waiting in line for 45+ minutes that I would have deemed it worth.

Overhyped. Arrived at 5pm on Saturday and there was already a long line. By the time it was our turn, they ran out of seats inside so we had to sit outdoors and it wasn't the best day in fog city. Their menu is pretty simple. Since they have such raving reviews, I definitely wanted to sample everything:

$12.95 Panfried dry shrimp egg chives pocket -- you only get 2, cut in half so 4 pieces

$13.95 Seasoned beef pockets -- green onion pancake with slices of beef, I can make these at home

$13.95 for 6 Juicy pork bao -- this is what everyone orders and I'm here to tell you, it's basic, standard

$25.95 for 8 Crab and pork XLB -- expensive as hell, was it good, sure but not out of this world and some of them would break when I tried to pick them up

$25.95 for 8 shrimp and loofah XLB -- what is loofah? It's basically some kind of fibrous plant stalk. This XLB was the worst. The shrimp and vegetables are chopped but not minced and mixed so there's zero soup in the XLB and the taste was super plain. I wish I had some chili sauce on the table to flavor this up.

$11.95 for 8 pork dumplings with sesame sauce and chili oil -- this was the best item that nobody was ordering. I could eat $100 worth

$16.95 Dan Dan noodles -- house special sesame paste noodles with minced pork. Weak. I can definitely make a more flavorful version at home.

Total price was $132! Panfried items took about 10-15 minutes to arrive. XLBs took about 20 minutes to arrive. The one thing I loved is the freshness of their noodles and dumpling wrappers. They make everything fresh and you can really taste the difference. Other than that, Dumpling Home is overpriced and overhyped. Maybe for this area it's something unique. I think I was the only person around who spoke Cantonese to the staff. Be prepared to pay for 2 hours of parking. Or you can find a better place out in the Sunset district.

Had to come here after seeing how popular this dumpling place is. If you haven't heard about it, know it's one of San Francisco's busiest and popular restaurants. Dumpling Home is pretty much self explanatory about what they have on the menu of course. For sure there's a lot of competition as far as Asian food. The menu has plenty of interesting choices and the prices aren't that bad for all you get it seems.

At lunch is when we came. It's a lot easier to get a table than at dinner. The menu is pretty much mostly dumplings, but there's a whole lot of stuff to get. Of course most people get dumplings apparently. There's bao, which are really the same things but these are bigger and puffier. It's about $12 to get three in an order. We got the Vegetable Bao, and these things helped get us stuffed. Even though it was only three, these were enough. These were good enough to go awhile without becoming again hungry.

Go here if wanting to get dumplings or other Asian food. It's a pretty casual setting. There's a few dumplings okay for vegans and vegetarians.

Yum! Heard about this place from my sister who lives in the area, and this place was so good! Super authentic, reasonable prices, and solid portions. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and service was good.

      We tried:
-Juicy Pork Bao: must get for any bao lovers. It came with an order of 6, and the bottom of each bao was fried to a perfect crisp and so juicy
-Beef Noodle Soup: decent! The broth was savory but not too heavy
-Beef tongue: served cold, this app dish was tender and flavorful

Definitely a great spot for Chinese!
