Great atmosphere, we came during happy hour and got $10 drinks and some apps. I got the short rib and it was delicious, it fell off the bone.

Just by peering in from the outside, waiting for the host to seat us; I could tell right away that I was in for a wonderfully delightful (let's not forget tasty) treat at Farmhouse.
And the first bite proved me right.
Such amazing Thai food, true to its word. As you may remember, my wife is Thai so I trusted her (and my sister & brother -in-law to order while I ventured inside to have a look around. We are seated outside (wonderful Labor Day weather in SF). Inside impressed me with (as far as I could tell) traditional Thai decorations. Everyone around me, staff, everyone at my table, were all speaking Thai; except for the self per claimed "foodies" sitting behind me (I could tell they don't eat very often)
To make a long story short, I gave Farmhouse 5 stars before I even sat down and I'm glad I did so.
      BON APPETIT!

We have been to Farmhouse Thai before but the kind of experience we had today has changed our mind and We'll never go back again. We went to celebrate a special occasion. Menu had changed, very few options for vegitarians. Whatever we ordered was overly sweet. I felt as if I was eating dessert thruout the main course. Finally, when we gave the feedback to the manager, she did nothing and top of it, she charged us 25% tip, which at that point Irated us further and we refused to pay. We spent $350 and came hungry because the food was so pathetic. Both food and manager's attitude was so bad today. Ordered:
      Egg rolls: ok
      Papaya salad: ok
      Roti: too dry
Tom kha veggie: broth was very sweet. Very bad
Shrimp appetizer: shrimp was ok but the there was some mixture of sauce and peanuts which was very sweet. Bad
Yellow curry veggie: curry was sweet, potatoes were sweet. Very bad
Green curry shrimp: spicy but also very sweet
While fish: again very sweet. Didn't like it at all. Flr$45-50 it wasn't worth it
Also ordered some fancy looking drinks which just looked good but tasted band. Super sweet
      Food: 1/5
      Attitude of staff:1/5

This was my birthday treat to myself after reading reviews and seeing pictures. The inside is not very big, dining time is limited, which is stated on their site. I didn't receive the birthday song or anything special nor was I asked if I was celebrating anything special. I booked through their site which led me to open table where I entered I was celebrating my birthday; however, I got a text from Yelp saying the restaurant uses Yelp and to confirm on Yelp if I was still coming for my reservation. I also confirmed on OpenTable when I got that message.
The dining experience is truly for IG/social media. The taste of the food was mid, my favorites was the mango sticky rice. The Panang Neua came in second, it is a slow braised short rib, it was fall off the bone tender, but it was spicy which is not denoted on the menu. It wasn't extremely spicy, but I wasn't expecting a kick. The blue rice is just that..blue and no flavor, the broccolini served with the dish could have been cooked a bit longer, it was too crunchy for me. The Neua Num Tok rolls were my least favorite. This dish has mint, steak, and cucumber and cilantro in a cilantro lime vinaigrette. Steak and mint is a combo that I didn't find particularly appealing. So I just ate the steak and cucumber. Now for the drink, Hello Gorgeous. It is cute and comes with flashing lights, and was good.
I can say I visited, the food /drinks were ok, but this place in my opinion is for the "IG worthy pictures" price tag was over $100 for my meal ( oh I ordered a coke...it was a canned coke). I wouldn't visit again, if you want those pictures, by all means visit. My server "Nice" was just that..nice and he checked on me when needed.
I was looking forward to the birthday song honestly, that is my favorite part of dining on my birthday. I choose places that offer the song.
If you haven't visited, check this place out and perhaps it will be your favorite spot!

It's been on my list for so long and I'm glad I finally got to go, it definitely did not disappoint! All the food we got was amazing with lots of flavor and unique presentation. The interior of the place is so cool too, a great spot for special occasions!

We got the egg rolls, green curry with blue rice, and pad thai, all tasted delicious and definitely one of the better Thai foods I've had. I also got the Thai iced tea which came out very surprisingly and tasted great.

We came right as they opened for lunch so it was empty but I can see it getting crowded so would recommend reserving if you're coming for dinner.

I highly recommend this place, and a great spot to celebrate something!

My wife suggested we try this spot, and I'm so glad we did. If you're looking for a Thai restaurant that nails both flavor and atmosphere, Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine is where you need to go!

We started with the Thai iced tea, which was perfectly sweet and creamy, then we got the papaya salad, with its shredded papaya, garlic, fresh chili, cherry tomatoes, and Thai long beans. It had a real kick to it, but in the best way possible. If you're into spice, this dish will hit the spot.

For our mains, we ordered the Panang Neua, which is slow-braised bone-in short rib in Panang curry. It was absolutely divine! The meat literally fell off the bone, and the blue rice it came with was a fun and tasty touch. We also tried the 24-Hour Beef Noodle Soup, which was packed with flavor! tender short rib, egg noodles, and a bone marrow broth that was just delicious. It's supposed to be medium spice, but honestly, I found the papaya salad had more heat!

From the friendly service to the thoughtful décor, this place really delivers on all fronts. My only tip? Be prepared for street parking, it can be a bit tricky. But trust me, it's worth the effort! Definitely check this place out if you're in the mood for some fantastic Thai food. Thanks for the awesome service guys!

One of my favorite parts of work travel is to explore different food spots. This is one of my favorite Thai spots in SF. I ordered the lunch tasting menu which was such a good deal for $33. The samosa was amazing, the beef roll was so fresh. The fried chicken was amazing and came with this amazing side of curry and roti. There was a lot of food and so much flavor.

Staff was so friendly. The decorations were so cute.

Our last night in San Francisco till we return home. A deep dive was done into good Thai food we have not previously tried in the city. We were steered towards Farmhouse Kitchen in the Mission district. The restaurant has transformed a small space into a lively Thai dining experience. It screams Thailand.

The place was packed with mainly Thai people, which made us feel good. The drinks here have crazy names, wild glasses and very colorful presentations.

We ordered the wings with fish sauce, garlic and a tamarind pineapple glaze sauce. The wing were fried (wing and drumstick combined) with a crispy fried coating and presented with a small saucer of glaze. The wings themselves had no flavor and were hard to eat. One must dunk pieces in the small dish of sauce with your fingers, a messy process. The restaurant needs to separate the pieces, and cook them in a wok with the glaze already applied. Once you cut them at the table all the breading fell off. The pad Thai with chicken was fair and a bit dry. There was no spice level and it lacked flavor. Our waiter suggested the beef rib with broccolini, onion and peppers. It very flavorful and spicy. The meat fell off the bone tender. This was the star of the night dish.

The vibe here was exciting as we entered but the food fell flat, except the beef rib. We also felt rushed to eat and move on, turn the tables. More effort needs to be spent refining the food profiles and less about being cute. People will return for the food and it needs more attention unless you want to be one and done.
