Lincoln Library

This public library does an excellent job of providing current fiction and non-fiction to its readers while still keeping older important works in its collection. I just wish the City of Springfield would find the resources to re-open the branch libraries that closed some years ago.

Great library, very beautiful. Very helpful staff and this library has anything and everything you can ask for. They had The Disaster Artist book what can I say?

If you're visiting Springfield and want a very good library to simply sit and read, this is the place. It's designed to have plenty of space. You won't feel crowded. Collection is kept current.

While beautiful, Lincoln library has very harsh lending practices - we found it very difficult to get a library card. Then, once obtained if the card holder was not present - say my husband vs. me and the kids - then we could not check out any materials. Plus, the fines are crazy expensive and unless you are the exact card holder - they wont let you renew. We quickly stacked up a lot of fines quickly. We have lived all over the world, and this library is by far the worst.
