Friendly folks here and I picked up my post cards after visiting the Tomb and graveyard nearby. Quick a lot to look at and shop and while some things aren't cheap, some things are. This was a great opportunity to pick up mementoes from the Lincoln's Tomb.

The Lincoln is a must go attraction BUT their gift shop is pricey (surprised?). Since you're in the Land of Lincoln, no doubt you will see his tomb. Very close to the cemeter entrance you will find the Lincoln Souvenir Shop. That's where you want to go! Great selection. Fair prices. Nice people. I found a t-shirt far better than the "I Miss Abe" shirt I purchased at the museum. AND you can always visit the Lincoln Museum gift shop with out buying a ticket just in case you didn't like this shop, BUT you're going to like it.

The family was on a Springfield trip to learn about Abe Lincoln and saw the shop as we entered the cemetery. Tomb was closed (bummer) but we got to walk around and take pics. I usually get a souvenir when visiting a historic place...so we stopped in the quaint shop.

I asked the lady if they had a small replica/ souvenir of the Tomb..she said no. They had a lot of pics and items with the tomb and Abe's face and accomplishments...ad a lot of funny pieces. Great prices too! I looked around and decided I'll just get something for the kids to remember the trip. We decided on a couple of Civil war era caps. As I paid, the lady (can't remember her name) said she put a little something extra in the bag..not perfect but something. I said thanks and we went on our way. The kids wore their new caps the rest of the trip....I finally got a chance to check the small box of "something". It was the small replica of the tomb I was looking for!! Thank you , thank you!! Now I have s story to tell with the replica :-) Will definitely pass by the shop if we're ever back.!

We saw this shop on our way into Oak Ridge Cemetery when we went to the Lincoln tomb. I didn't think too much of it on first sight to be honest. When we returned to the tomb once more on our way out of town we decided to stop and I'm soooo glad we did.

For me this was the most fun souvenir shop in Springfield for all things Lincoln. I got the coolest t shirt here (Route 66) with an Indian on it that was the quality of t shirts I saw anywhere else in town for a much better price and also a very nice sweatshirt.

It's really a step back in time to come into this place. First off, it's like a giant log cabin and everything is beautiful natural wood inside. There's little trinkets everywhere and many types of chotchkies like I used to see back in the 60's when I was a kid. It's a great place to get inexpensive things for the kids and not break the bank!

I asked the shop keeper the history of the building and her grandmother started it back in the Depression. She actually lived in the house next door and went to the five & dime and bought some things to have her kids sell as people left the cemetery. She did it to keep them busy and out of trouble and the stuff kept selling out each day. She ending up buying the lot next door, had this building built and it's been there ever since! What a great story and it's still in the family!

Cute souvenir shop located right next to the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site and the Oak Ridge Cemetery where there are a lot of War Memorials as well. I am always a sucker for souvenir gifts, but most places I ever go to seem to have the same old type of gifts. This place had a huge variety for a GREAT price. The gifts were very original, funny, and interesting. I was in Springfield for only two days, but this was the best shop I have seen. The lady working there was very nice as well.

I def recommend stopping in and checking out this cute gift shop if you are in the area!

The shop was cute, but the lady selling t-shirts was very pushy and rude. She was pushing a hoodie in front of my 10 yr old, after hearing me tellI my daughter "no" to the hoodie. She also insisted on me buying a size up on a t-shirt, that would have cost me $5 more, because they didn't have the child size that we needed in stock. When I insisted on a less expensive shirt, she gave me a rude look that even my 10 yr. old commented on after we left. I left with a bad impression of the place because of her. Can't stand pushy sales people!

We travel quite a lot, we are used to the "same old thing" when it comes to souvenir stores. This is most definitely an original. We were in Springfield, Il to visit the Lincoln sites and saw this store on our way to the Lincoln tomb. WOW! They have everything! Spoke with the lovely women working, they were a wealth of information!! from directions, to suggestions on places to eat, hotels to stay at (and NOT stay at). Mentioned our plans to travel on to Washington (state) and Oregon, two of the women had been to both places and suggested sights to see that were not on our radar! (have since been there and done that, they were both right on target with their suggestions!). The souvenir prices were quite reasonable and most certainly had a great selection. If you are in Springfield, Il and want to get a souvenir, this is the place to stop. (I will say we stopped at several other places in Springfield also to look at souvenirs, they were all fine, and the people were friendly enough, this place was just SPECIAL). Also extra special was when one worker started talking to my dad, found out he was a veteran, she shook his hand and thanked him for his service. This was EXTRA special.
