Need a car fob duplicated and car key laser cut? This is the place that does it in the City. Other locksmiths in town, like Don's, refer Lock World to customers. So, the locksmith's locksmith!

Call before heading over, to make sure they can service your car. They do many car fobs, but not all. Some companies, like Audi, do not license the equipment to locksmiths and can only be done at the dealer (or non-licensed locksmith with grey market software), so you have to go to the dealer to get it coded. But Lock World will laser cut the physical key for half the dealer price.

Lock World currently will cut and program fobs you bring to them and their service prices are super reasonable!

I ended up having them laser cut my Audi keys then took the fobs to Audi SF for programming.

Note: Audi SF charged a one-time program fee ($275), regardless if you bring them one or more multiple key fobs and they will do fobs a customer brings in :)

Great service in under an hour. Replaced fob keys for two of my cars. Reasonable price. No nonsense. Friendly.

You don't feel welcome when you walk in. Purposely turn people away. No clear sign where the line is.

We use Lock World for all our locks at work. Ok service. Ok prices. The ordering seems to get confused sometimes.

A bit expensive than I anticipated but I needed the locks to be replaced. Nestor was REALLY helpful and professional.

The service was so good, I had to write a review. I was in dire need of a new car ignition, seemingly hopeless because the dealer discountined replacement parts for my make and model. Lock World took the time to contact multiple junkyards across the Bay Area until they found every replacement part. The result - my car is better than new.

I also appreciate the constant updates and clear communication from the team, and for their endless patience for all my questions.

I am updating my reviews systematically. I recommend Lock World. I have had them work on a vintage motorcycle, a 1990 Honda Hawk GT. They were competent, efficient, not expensive, and pleasant to deal with. I also want to mention something I think they have fixed. Google was listing them as out of business. I actually called the shop to bring that to their attention (this is a few years back, pre-pandemic). So don't pay attention if it indicates they are not there; they are, and they are doing fine.

To offer details: I had them work on the bike long ago, when it was new. The bike was stolen on Halloween 1993, trashed by the joyriders, and it had to rebuilt. The miscreants had hotwired it, which damaged the ignition. Everything had to be rekeyed. The insurance covered that, but they would not pay to have the gas tank or helmet lock, both which were intact, redone to match. (If you are not a motorcyclist, a single key should start the engine, open the gas tank lid, and also slot into the helmet lock, which is hidden underneath and to the side of the seat.) The result was the keychain had two keys on it. That is not a big deal. But when I had the bike restored, I figured I should address this minor issue, not noticeable to anyone except me, in the interests of doing a good job, rather than my usual "half assed" approach as my wife describes it.

So I went there, dropped off the bike, went to lunch at the Burmese place down the street, came back, and we were all set.

Brought my own blanks which were standard keys, not special keys requiring a laser cut or a complex machine, it was a simple cut and took about 2 minutes to complete. The person who helped me charged $10 to cut a basic key which is more than double what a basic key cut cost. They didn't care I brought my own blanks, the price was the same to cut with mine or their blanks. If you have complex key to copy, they may be good for that but I simply cannot recommend this business for basic key cutting based on their (over) pricing. They don't post their prices anywhere either so just want other potential customers to be aware.

Not the cheapest option but very efficient and reliable service if your ever locked out of (fill in the blank). Would recommend to others easily

They are the best in town in terms of quantity of keys they can replicate. They have saved me $1k once cause no one else could make a copy of my mailroom key that was so old.
