Looked up a spot for breakfast/brunch and Maple leaf Dinner popped up. They did not disappoint. Service was great and was attended constantly and was seated quickly. Definitely recommend to stop by and catch a great meal.

Slept in and woke up starving! Went here based on the reviews.
The food was great and filling. Very fair portion sizes. They have some kind of dill sauce that's AMAZING with potatoes. That pineapple mimosa was really good, also.
There was a waitlist 18 people long but we were able to add ourselves to the list online so by the time we arrived, it only look 10 minutes to be seated. Service was great. We were in and out in 45 mins.
Very clean and laid back environment. I'd definitely return!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 24, 2024
I was so excited to try out this location, it had been on the list since we watched a youtuber we follow give it a raving review.
For the table we ordered
Southern Poutine
hand-cut French fries, cheese curds, smothered in white gravy and topped
with chicken fried chicken breast and a sprinkle of chives 12.49
-- This appetizer was phenomenal; the fries were crisp the cheese curds melted nicely with the heat from the fries and the nicely seasoned gravy. The fried chicken was juicy, not overly breaded, and seasoned just as good. All together made every bite enjoyable.
My partner ordered the famous as seen on YouTube:
Steak Waffle as featured on Food Network's Incredible
Edible America blade steak fried and layered on a fresh
waffle with sautéed peppers & onions and white gravy, with
Canadian Bacon & Cream Puffs 18.99
-- Just like the southern poutine all food was layered upon each other therefore each bite was full of the greatness of food.
--Cons to the dish, the cream puffs were a little off putting, the cream on the inside seemed like liquid marshmallow fluff. Wish they had provided more syrup and gravy then what was given with the dish, it would have helped on eating so much food. Individually there are critiques, the blade steak had no seasoning whatsoever, grateful for the gravy on that one.
-- You get so much food for the cost not a complete waste but ideally separate the food if you're not that hungry or don't want to be wasteful.
My order:
Canadian Eggs Benedict English muffin topped with
Canadian bacon, 2 poached eggs, hollandaise, fresh dill and
served with home fries 12.99
-- Entire meal was underwhelming and bland, the hollandaise sauce tasted just like eggs, no flavor, and the dill was not there. The fries were just lightly salted. All together not happy with this meal and wish I had chosen something else entirely.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 21, 20241 check-in
I visited this spot for the first time today after driving by several times. I'm a huge fan of a nearby bakery (le reve). Anyway, we got there around 2 pm for a late lunch and joined the waitlist via yelp. We were seated approximately 15 minutes later which is what we were quoted. (Party of 2).
I immediately noticed how cute it was inside. Lots of Canadian flare and artwork. Our server was Omar and he was incredible. I know customer service jobs are fast paced and thankless but he was quick, friendly and helpful. I love feeling like I'm getting the insider scoop on the best things to order.
My son and i started off with sharing a half order of poutine which was delish and the perfect amount. He went with the chefs favorite breakfast- French toast and wheat bread. It was a massive plate of food and was delish. He definitely had leftovers. I got the lox benedict and latkes.
I will admit i am a bit of an eggs benedict snob as i am a pro at making the dish. I find that most of the time the hollandaise sauce is split or tastes like nothing and/or the poached eggs are under or over- most of the time they are over. Happy to report no issues whatsoever with the eggs or hollandaise. I prefer my sauce to be a bit more lemony but it was well executed. The plate was full of food and it was all delish. No complaints. I am looking forward to my leftovers.
I grabbed my free cookie from the yelp app and am looking forward to eating it later.
I want to add that even my son noticed that not only was our waiter friendly, everyone that worked there appeared to be (which is unusual!) i will definitely return to try more things on the menu. We also joked that it was in the true Canadian spirit for everyone there to be so great. Keep it up!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 31, 2024
Came for breakfast and put ourselves on the list online. Make sure you check in when you get there, I missed that part of the text and we ended up waiting quite a bit over our time but that's my fault! Standard breakfast food nothing really blew me away but have some different options such as poutine and latkes are fun! The hashbrowns were a let down though, not very flavored or crispy. The interior gives a typical diner appeal which is hard to find in DFW so I would be back for that! I did love the fresh jam that came with everything just wish it came with more!

Service was spectacular, super fast, polite, and helpful. The restaurant is typical diner style inside, nothing fancy.
The food is incredible. I got the fried steak poutine and it will live on in my heart forever. So much gravy, a healthy portion of steak, tasty fries, and of course, delicious cheese curds. I would go back weekly but I fear I'd have a heart attack soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 677732948Jul 24, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
A nice place for comfort food. Shared the chicken fried steak breakfast with eggs, biscuits and pancakes. Mauricio was a great waiter.
Helpful 2Thanks 3Love this 2Oh no 0Apr 21, 2021Previous reviewDrove cross town to start our vacation with Maple Leaf Diner. This is only our 3rd visit well worth the drive. Reviewing on Yelp we saw the crowd Meter shared their busy time so we arrived 15mins before and no wait Aaron was our waiter and gave us a recommendation that was spot on sausage and waffle. Love the way the distance the tables with full dividers between table made it very intimate in this busy diner. We started the meal with a small portion of poutine fries they do not disappoint cooked to perfection fresh cut fries loads of Golden cheese curds smothered in a thick brown gravy. They offer other versions but we want to keep it real. We then shared Aaron's recommendation country sausage waffle. Crispy moist chicken strips between two Belgian waffles 2 large sausages that were so flavorful topped with two cream puffs and came with whipped cream, warm syrup, sliced strawberries and creamy gravy. This was one order we shared and brought leftovers home. When leaving the line was out the door. I checked in with Yelp when we got there and up popped a coupon for one of their homemade cookies took it home for later was give two a melt in your mouth lemon cookie and raspberry cream cheese cookie. Yum to a capital Y.

Food was fantastic! Service was even better because of Melissa. The ambiance is a classic American diner with a Canadian spin. French toast was my favorite!

Good food, awesome service. We went to Dallas for a holiday weekend and we really did not know where to go for breakfast. We went to the Maple Leaf diner based on Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. The portion size was on point and the food were just Seasoned right.
I highly recommend this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - L N.Dallas, TX361157Jul 26, 20241 check-in
I'm not a huge breakfast person, but when my friends come into town, I like to take them here. You get a good amount of food compared to other breakfast spots. The diner is clean and tidy, and the staff is always friendly and willing to help us get what we want. The little cream puffs are a nice add on. Definitely a recommended breakfast joint!
