Mr Lincoln's Souvenirs & Gifts

One of my absolute favorite things about traveling is running into a local teeming with civic pride. I delighted in the pleasure of talking to the owner of Mr. Lincoln's Souvenirs & Gifts. He spoke to us about Springfield with such joy, that I nearly hunted down a real estate guide before leaving town! Seriously, though, he was beyond cool, and it was such an honor to meet him.

The shop is full of the usual suspects one hunts for when seeking mementos to take home from a trip. Prices were more than fair. We also had the luxury of staying in an Airbnb above the shop (run by the shop owner's brother), and the whole experience with the family was amazing. Mr. Lincoln's Souvenirs & Gifts is not far at all from Lincoln's home, so definitely swing by for a unique shopping experience alongside a gent who loves his city and its visitors.

My husband and I love history, and we recently visited Springfield to learn about President Lincoln and explore the area. We stopped in at this souvenir shop, and I'm so glad we did! The shop owner was such a cool guy, and we had a great conversation with him about the history of the area and different tourist locations we should check out. He was so friendly, it really made a positive impact on our trip!

The selection of items in the shop is great, too. He has just about every kind of Abe Lincoln-themed item you could think of, and the prices are really good. It's well-organized, and the prices are all clearly marked.

This may seem like your average souvenir shop, but make sure you stop by for a great conversation and a fun shopping experience! You won't regret it!

Nice little souvenir shop just up the street from the Lincoln home visitor center. It's actually in the basement of a brick bungalow.

There's lots of little trinkets from very inexpensive to moderate priced. The shopkeeper is really nice and will help if you need it. Great place to take the kids for something if you don't want to break the bank!

This place is great! Awesome souvenirs at affordable prices. Tom and Nancy are amazing people! We came in with a group of about 30 7th graders on a field trip and they accommodated everyone. Very friendly. They gave the chaperone's free bottles of water and donated some replica documents to my classroom. They even let a student slide when they were short a couple of dollars. I was very impressed with their store and their demeanor.

Excellent little shop with a very friendly owner! My husband and I took an impromptu trip to Springfield this weekend, and we stopped in quickly to look for an Abe beard and hat (I figured... it couldn't hurt to look! haha). Sure enough, we went inside and the place was stocked with TOTALLY AFFORDABLE and pretty neat little souvenirs! The shop-owner is a very kind gentleman in his mid-fifties, and we had a nice conversation with him after purchasing our gifts. When we return to Springfield, we will definitely be returning to this shop!

We decided to stop by this little gift shop on the way home from Christmas as we passed through Springfield, IL. My wife just wanted to get a picture real quick. We ended up staying for at least 45 minutes to an hour. The owners were the nicest people I probably have met in my life. Tom was so cool and knowledgable about the history of Springfield and Abe Lincoln. We left the store laughing and smiling like we just visited an old family friend. We talked about it for hours on the long ride home. It's just nice to know that people like that still exist and we plan on stopping by each time we pass through.

We visited this wonderful gift shop this past Labor Day weekend. The 2 people working there were wonderful to speak to. We must have talked for 15 to 20 minutes about Springfield places.
