We recently moved from San Francisco to San Diego, and Ontrack Moving did such an excellent job with the move. They showed up on time, picked up everything super efficiently and met us at the new house. Nothing was lost or broken! I also appreciated that they took the empty boxes with them because our recycle bins were already full when we arrived. I highly recommend their service.

Our move with Ontrack went so smoothly. It's hard to imagine any moving company living up to a 5-star review after moves I've experienced in the past, but I don't have a single complaint about this move. From the moment I called to get a quote, the service was friendly, professional, and they were so communicative during the process, especially the day of the move. Our crew was incredibly efficient and trustworthy. They moved our 3-bedroom house from one side of SF to the other in under 6 hours, including dissembling and reassembling beds for us.
In addition, during the move we noticed the dryer in our new house was broken (previous owners had left it), so one of the guys went and grabbed his tools from the truck and fixed it for us--talk about above and beyond. Both the house we moved out of and the house we moved into suffered a few corner casualties. Rather than letting us know it happened, they simple covered them with packing tape and didn't say a word. It was only after the dust settled that we found the damages. Thinking back and watching them move stuff, they could have spent more time disassembling large items and taking the time to do it right rather than trying to rush. Multiple times I had to let them know that the object wasn't going to fit through the doorways. I also would have been a lot more understanding if they would have come clean to me about the damages up front.

My family used Ontrack to move from CA to Oregon. After hearing horror stories from friends about their intrastate moving experiences, I was determined to find an honest company that would treat our items with respect.
These are the reasons I went with Ontrack: No truck sharing = no multiple addresses to coordinate delivery. Clear pricing that was set (two trucks at up to a max weight was the price, all transport fees and moving services [like taking apart furniture, wrapping it, putting it back together] were included). There were no hidden costs like transportation or use of materials fees. They were clear on the dates, and the $$ due for deposit, and what would be due at pickup and drop-off. Ontrack will even lend wardrobe boxes, so you can put your hung clothes in them when they arrive, which makes unpacking much easier.
I have two BIG compliments to give. The first goes to Alex for giving us an accurate estimate. I had SEVERAL companies come to do estimates. The trucks have regulatory weight limits for long distance, so weight estimates matter because they determine how many trucks you need. I got weight estimates from 16,000 to 32,000 pounds, all from companies with good reviews and BB ratings. (Seriously.) This is the difference between 2 and 3 trucks, which amounts to a huge price difference. Alex estimated we were around their two truck limit (26K). He let us know we close, and they'd have to weigh as they loaded to make sure we didn't go over. He stated he could not guarantee it would all fit in 2 trucks, and offered 3rd truck prices, but didn't push or try to upsell. Unlike other companies I spoke to, Ontrack had scales to bring to our home so they could weigh on the spot. Because Alex seemed more knowledgeable, (and my gut told me he was right), I went with Ontrack. More great customer service = After I let them know I was only able to pay for 2 trucks and may need to leave some items behind, they helped me by telling me which items would be the heaviest and agreed to hold on loading items I tagged as "less important" until we were sure they go could. They did not make me feel bad for this; in fact, I felt like they were on my side and doing what they could to make it work for us. Based on Alex's estimate we gave away/sold a few heavy furniture items before the move... and, good news! we were just able to fit in everything we had left. So, Alex was right on - we would have been slightly overweight, and after getting rid of a few pieces were just under.
My second big compliment is to an Ontrack Manager, Paul. There was a scale malfunction while they were loading. They called Paul and he responded right away; driving out to our distant location to fix it.
During the loading, the movers were respectful of our home and property. They worked hard and efficient, but without being reckless. The trucks were packed neatly and tight.
The drop off occurred on time. I could not be there until later in the day and Ontrack worked with us by agreeing to start unloading before we arrived (my Real Estate agent came to let them in). Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues during unloading. The crew seemed rushed, as a result some boxes were left in the wrong rooms, a few were upside down, some furniture was not unwrapped/reassembled, and there were a few other mishaps. I'd still recommend Ontrack and use them again. Why? Because the majority of the move went well, their rate was competitive, and I believe the problems at the drop-off were limited to one or two guys in a rush. When I contacted Ontrack to share my frustrations, Manger Paul jumped in again. He called me personally to discuss my concerns and offered several options to ensure all was remedied. He even offered to send someone (6.5 hours away by drive) to move the boxes back to the right rooms and a do a few other fixes... which was over and beyond what was necessary. So, I definitely would recommend them - not everything can be perfect every time, but how a company resolves any errors demonstrates their heart. Could not recommend Ontrack more! I recently used them for my local move within SF. Jesus and Alejandro were extremely professional and efficient. They took care with any delicate items, and even disassembled + reassembled my bed frame for me.
Pricing was extremely reasonable compared to others I was quoted. Charges were transparent and my total charge at the end was exactly what I expected when booking.

We had a small, but stressful office move involving a two-story pick-up and multiple destinations (drop-offs). Sam worked with us, was easy to get in touch with, answered all questions promptly and was just so reassuring and helpful throughout the whole process!
Some of our special requests included: requiring proof of vaccination of the movers, which we received in advance; last minute destination changes, which were happily accommodated; and more packing than we originally anticipated, which, again was met with "no problem!"

We had such excellent movers from our last move within SF! Edgar, Carlos G. and Miguel moved us (and packed whatever was not yet packed) within a reasonable time. They were so mindful with handling fragile packages, protected all our furniture and our home, and took great care making sure nothing is damaged during the move. They even helped us move some furniture pieces to the curb for Recology pickup. They had to disassemble some furniture and they re-assembled everything correctly (this was important to us because our previous movers botched the re-assembly). Overall, they were a very professional crew throughout the move!

Ontrack Moving is great. We approached our move from the San Francisco Bay Area to Portland, OR with a lot of trepidation, having read many horror stories. However our move with Ontrack went extremely smoothly and nothing was broken or damaged. We did a 3 phase move of our 3 bedroom house: Move out, Ontrack storage for 2 months, Move up to Portland. All three phases went smoothly and nothing was lost despite going on and off the truck twice. Leo managed the move out crew and efficiently emptied our entire house in just 3 hours. The move into our Portland house was very challenging with a long steep driveway and then a full flight of stairs. Their crew of 2: Ivan (who also helped with the move out) and Javier did a fantastic job of coping with the driveway and stairs and got all our possessions into the new house safely and without any damage at all.
The move out was local so T&M, which sounded risky, but the final price came in approximately the same as the original estimate, with no attempt to add in extra time or charges. The interstate move was a fixed price quote (it ended up being two vehicles because our stuff was over the single vehicle weight limit), and the final charge was exactly as quoted, despite the driveway and stairs.
