Food amazing - had the jumbo lobster tail! Oh. My. God.
      Lobster Bisque - wow!
Apple, Gorgonzola + Candied Walnut Salad - Amazing. So amazing that this could have been my entree for the night!
      Ambience and view - beautiful!
Service is top notch! Great help with the menu and suggestions! Cocktails were great too! We would've gone here twice during our trip if we had another chance. Palisade is a must visit!

We went on a glorious Friday evening and were seated by the window. Good thing we had such a nice view because service was slow. I mean really, really slow. Our server was being as quick as possible, so I'm not exactly sure what the hold up was.

The food was nice. We had a good assortment from the menu. My husband and I shared a dozen oysters, the bone marrow, and beet salad. I had the king crab (at MP) and he had the sea bass with lobster risotto. We enjoyed all the plates.

Overall, the experience was fine but to give you a clear picture of the time we spent at the restaurant, we arrived at 6:30 and finished at 9:30. It felt epically long and I enjoy my husband's company.

Palisade's nice waterfront view and good food is unfortunately brought down by the lackluster service.

Location/Atmosphere: The view, especially if you have a window table, is phenomenal. Made up of a gorgeous view of the Seattle skyline and featuring some beautiful yachts in the marina, you can't go wrong with a waterfront restaurant like this in Seattle.

Food: There are plenty of options from red meats to pasta and of course a lot of good seafood selections with standouts like the Sake marinated black cod. The food does not disappoint.

Staff/Service: This is unfortunately where this restaurant drops the ball. Little went right from having to refill our own wine glasses from the ice bucket (despite the manager and server stopping by at the table when a glass was empty), water glasses routinely left dry, to asking for a spare plate and spoon from the server after the entree was delivered to go the entire meal without receiving either. For a special occasion like a birthday, Palisade gets beaten by most run of the mill chains, haphazardly throwing confetti onto the table and offering a hand signed card on what appeared to be a sheet of notepaper. It has to be and should be better at this price point.

A wonderful waterside restaurant perfect to celebrate a special occasion! I feel like Palisade has been around Seattle forever, but is severely underrated.

The service was very attentive and friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary and got a cute card and also dessert at the end (flourless chocolate cake).

The sake marinated black cod was delicious! Perfectly cooked so that the fish was incredibly tender, with a miso saltiness, zucchini strips, and a soft shrimp cake on the bottom. I would definitely order this again!

My partner got the ahi tuna rice bowl and he was a bit less impressed. The ahi was room temp and there was a large amount of lemon peel garnish that was a bit confusing.

We ordered the cheesecake for dessert, which was massive and came with some butterscotch. Not too sweet and very fluffy! We were so full by this time that we took the rest home for later.

Since the restaurant is by the dock, I'd recommend walking along the water before or after your meal to enjoy the Seattle views.

I'd definitely come here again to celebrate a special occasion or to treat my friends who are visiting to great food with beautiful views!

My first time at Palisade and it did not disappoint!

The price range is fairly on the higher side but the quality of the food matched the price.

Would recommend their fried calamari; it's got asian spice note to it and the calamari was super juicy and tender. I got the lamp chop - medium cooked and it was perfect. Juicy and mild gamey note (very pleasant and not overly gamey) which paired so well with Merlot wine.

The view outside was very nice as well. You can see the boats/yachts right outside and you can even see the mountains.

Giving that this is a higher end place, I think it would've made the restaurant more elevated if the choice of music was more smooth jazz rather than top 25 hit songs. But that's just my opinion!

Service was also good as the waiter was attentive and checked frequently to filled up our waters and clean the table in a timely manner.

      Celebrated my birthday here
The crab cakes were delicious but is it normal for them to still have the shells? Service and ambiance were great. The only thing that seemed odd is I received a call about an hour before my reservation asking if I needed booster seats or high chairs and I asked for 2 high chairs only but when we arrived there was a booster seat. Tried it out but my baby kept slipping out since the straps to secure her were missing. Anyways, my brother had to go request a high chair and it worked out in the end

      Updated review

I was fortunate to get the a reply back from the restaurants Business Customer Service Rep and I guess he only read the part I wrote about the food , the ambiance but not the part of how the bartender was out of line. It would have been nice to know that my concerns were address and not dismissed. I also would like to think that this is not just a computerized response. I hope to get a genuine apology from the restaurant in the next few day.

Came to check out their 3 course for $55 menu. Very good portion for sharing and same great view. Our server was really nice but a little slow... our entire meal took almost 3hrs. Food was ok nothing stood out but drinks were good.
Coming from the east side to this part of town is a trek esp with traffic so not sure if we would come back.

We've been to Palisade three or four times, always for dinner, usually for a special occasion.

As many other reviewers have noted, you can't beat the ambience. It's a fun space, and the windows overlooking the marina and the bay offer stunning views. We've eaten here during daylight, sunset, and after dark, and each offers its charms - but I'd say shoot for sunset if you're looking for something special.

We've also always had excellent, personable service. This visit was no exception. Lana was friendly, helpful, and attentive, despite obviously being kept busy.

Drinks have been a consistent high point every time we've visited. The Rare and Fancy is a very good Old Fashion, and the whiskey sour I ordered (not on the drink menu, just a request) was perfectly balanced, with bonus points for obvious use of egg whites. My wife prefers mocktails, and reports the mocktail menu is always fun.

Food is generally good, especially the mains. The steak is consistently excellent (although I'd recommend a steak over the prime rib, which is good but not exemplary). My wife reports the fish is always cooked perfectly. The chefs' ability to properly prepare salmon is one of the reasons we'll go out of our way to dine here. She likes the variety of fish and seafood on offer, and the use of seasonal preparations.

Appetizers, sides, and deserts are more hit and miss; the crab dip (which recently replaced the earlier crab and lobster dip) is a decadent treat, but we've had other apps that were less exciting or seemed poorly conceived; similarly, the sides that come with most mains are veggies and mashed potatoes - and both have been wildly inconsistent, with veggies sometimes overcooked, while the mashed potatoes are sometimes delicious, but sometimes pasty or overly sweet. The deserts have ranged from mediocre to yummy, but it's clearly not the restaurant's focus; they feel like an afterthought. (Although we very much appreciated the creme brulee that was brought out to celebrate our anniversary!)

If you're trying to decide whether to visit, we'd say that you should consider delicious drinks, beautiful ambiance, excellent service, and consistent mains as being top tier; you should balance that against the steep price tag and inconsistent apps / sides / deserts. Overall, we think it's worth the visit!

Came here for the first time and it was highly recommended. They have a nice water area however they have trout and so it's hard to see the fish in the water as they blend in with the rocks. There is plenty of parking and there is a wonderful view. This is a beautiful restaurant which has great potential, but they seem to be a little bit disorganized. Had the opportunity to make a reservation in advance on OpenTable and requested seating near the window however, when I arrived despite the reservation. We ended up waiting 20 minutes and we were not quite placed near the window so we didn't have the same view. The staff were very friendly; however they seem to be understaffed so we set a table another 30 minutes before being served. It took some time for our drinks to come. The desserts were great however we decided to skip dinner because the service seemed so slow. I hope that your experience is better than mine.
