I have been going to this Resturaunt for years every time I go to Dallas. This is one of Dallas' top places for fine dining. They have the best steaks, appetizers, seafood and desserts.

Everything here is delicious. The steak melts in your mouth and is so good there is no need for additional seasoning nor sauces.

Would highly recommend and place this Resturaunt in your lists of must go!

OK, but not worth the price.

The pleasant company of the attendants was something from a 1930's film, they were 1930's polite and they even made a new filet minion for my mom when she didn't want salt on it.

But the filet minion was not tasty. It was undercooked, along with the bone in ribeye I had ordered. It was under Denny's quality steak. The waitress recommended I have the medium rare and when it came in, the steak was again undercooked. Most of the fat wasn't rendered and I had definitely had tastier steak at home when buying from Costco or stator bros. One piece, about 2cm^3, was excellently rendered with a crunchy crust. But 80-90% of the steak, I swear I could have cooked it better.

I had a small "glass of wine", about 200ml of wine for 17$. It was from Tuscany, and I couldn't tell the difference between this wine and the cheap 5$ wine I bought at smart and final, in Los Angeles.

I also had "steak fries", and they were not spiced, very plain. No salt or pepper, I'm not sure if this is the standard of this place. Maybe it's customary at fancy restaurants to flavor your own food. I had better at tgi Fridays.

The Caesar salad was phenomenal and the bread and butter was excellent, it was up to the quality of an expensive fancy restaurant.

The manager didn't charge us for the filet minion since it didn't have any spice on it. I think they are trying to improve.

Walking in, I immediately felt the traditional Steakhouse Interior with Texas flair. They have a giant display case that shows off all their finest cuts of meat. Theres a lounge area with a pianist playing popular retro pop in cocktail lounge style.

There was a dedicated server just serving water, so my glass was always full throughout the night. Our waitress did a fine job dealing with my parents as well as checking in on us. Pacing of the meal is stretched out and slower than I personally like, but this is a heavy meal.

The Caesar Salad was fine, but there wasn't much to be excited about. The garlic croutons weren't very crunchy nor prominent. The main flavor was the oil from the dressing and the parmesan cheese. While I was happy with the portion they gave, I felt it wasn't worth what they were charging.

They give you a huge loaf of fresh baked bread and a slab of butter that was quite satisfying, but also fills you up easily.

I ordered the 16 0z dry aged prime ribeye, and it was just OK. The fat wasn't rendered as well as it could have been, there wasn't much of a crust, and there were parts of it that felt stringy rather than a quality cut of meat. Flavor wise, their dry age process didn't bring much of a beefy flavor, but rather a watery funky smell. They use some garlic butter on top that distracted rather than enhanced the meal. This would have been fine if I made the steak myself at home, but once again the cost doesn't match the value. And Ive had other dry aged steaks from other places. This isn't a matter of me not liking dry age. I love dry aged steaks, but what I was served was not at all memorable.

The green beans were 20% firm and crispy, while the other 80% were somewhat limp. There was no char or seasoning other than salt. The butter they had was the only other flavor beyond the earthy green taste of green beans.

The onion rings were a travesty! They took the outer most layer of the onion, which has the texture of a wet lasagna noodle once cooked. The batter barely had any flavor and it slipped off completely from the onion. Absolutely not worth getting here!

The crab mac and cheese was actually pretty damn good! Usually the seafood in these types of dishes are inferior quality to what you would normally get as an entrée. Not in this case! The crab was bright, fresh, and pronounced over the reasonable amount of cheese flavor and density of the dish. Granted, its something you could easily get full on, so be careful with how quickly you scarf this down.

The potatoes au gratin were not the best Ive had, but they were a solid execution. There seemed to be a even proportion of all ingredients. The potatoes could have been slightly softer in the middle, but that's more of a personal preference to an overall comforting and familiar dish.

Their cheesecakes are huge! They are meant to be shared or take home as leftovers. Unfortunately theres not much flavor to them. Yes they are sugary sweet. Yes they are creamy on the tongue, but that's it! Wheres the tang? It wasn't there. If youre a smoker or a 6 year old, then youll enjoy the neutral flavor of this! The graham cracker crust did have a decent amount of buttery flavor, but the actual filling is what matters! They garnish a block of white and dark chocolate, as well as some strawberry syrup to give more dynamics to the flavor.

Three hours went by and I could only feel I sense of disappointment and underwhelming satisfaction. What adds insult to injury is the fact that this place is highly rated. It was number 1 in steakhouses in Da Magazine. Considering I know I would have had a great time at Nick and Sams or Reata, I could only yearn for a different experience as I stare out the window in dismay.

We tried a variety of food for a table of 4. All the sides we had were delicious - mac and cheese, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. The sides are all family size and shareable. The lamb and rib eye were cooked perfectly - but they lacked flavor. The key like pie was delicious. The service was fantastic. Free valet parking.

I want to say too, that this is my favorite restaurant of all times and update my last review as Pappas Bros. cares about their customers, the quality of food and service they provide. It was a nice touch that corporate and the restaurants management reached out to me to discuss my last visit and encouraged me to visit again.
People, this was impressive and is what makes Pappas Bros. Restaurants stand above the rest. Thank you for your high standards and for reaching out.
      See you soon!

Ample self parking available with a valet as well (unsure of cost, I self parked). You enter and the restaurant is to the left with a lounge to the right. I think the restaurant is deceivingly large, as it is broken up into rooms. We were in the main room and I will say it was pretty loud / hard to hear each other at points of the meal just due to the tables being relatively close and not a ton of noise dampening.

As an appetizer, we ordered the jumbo lump crabcakes. It comes with two crab cakes in a lemon caper sauce and topped with almost crispy potato strings? Not 100% sure what they were but it tasted amazing together. I've been disappointed by a lot of crab cakes lately and appreciated the lack of celery in these... it was truly mostly crab!

We both ordered steaks for our entree witb au gratin potatoes. The aged New York strip was perfectly cooked, but a little on the salty side in my opinion. The au gratin potatoes were creamy and pretty good, but honestly nothing special to me.

We finished the evening with a chocolate mousse cake and it was great as well. Sweet but not overly heavy, which was a nice way to end the meal.

Definitely a nice place to go, but I might try to book in one of the smaller rooms to the side to hopefully help with the noise if I went back. Our server Christopher was patient and helpful throughout the meal.

Excellent steakhouse with perfect service. I ordered a ribeye and it was cooked exactly medium rare as requested. All of their side items and salad were tasty. The ambiance is like a typical nice steakhouse, and I will definitely be back.

Scott was our waiter and Ben the Somm. Great service and old friends

We started with our steaks right away and we ordered the New York strip, medium rare, as well as the fillet. The accompaniments were the onion rings the spinach and the potatoes au gratin. The service was exceptional the ambience, amazing and the level of sophistication of the place is inspiring high-quality grade service exceptional experiences is what comes with the price that you pay... And it's worth it.

One of the better uppydy up places to be seen and have a great steak!!!
Food and steak quality are among the best in the Dfw metroplex area.
Service is great, it just at times gets super busy on Fridays and Saturdays and slows down a bit. It can get a little loud here doing its peak. The bar is always busy on the weekends.
Definitely a place to enjoy the best of the best STEAKS in Texas.
Some items on the menu can seem familiar if you been to other Pappa bros establishments at least some taste profiles and to me that's a great thing since they do it so well.
