Second Time Around

Manager makes up rules that her employees are unaware of & then punishes customers because her employees didn't know 'the rules'. Just Awful.

Day Staff facilitated drop off of deceased friends items for review. When we dropped off items, staff said they would call when review was complete. They called 15 min prior to closing & I asked if it would be ok if we picked up the returns on Monday & I gave them all the account info they requested. Since they were closed Sunday, they said no problem, no rush & contract could be signed Monday upon pickup. They said they kept a basket of clothes to sell. When we got home, the store manager called after hours. (She was not there when we dropped off. ) She asked us to come pick up the clothes now. We returned to find all of items out on the curb. She came out to accuse us of not following rules we had never heard of. She claimed we violated rules by not waiting 10 minutes for clothes review & didn't sign the contract yet so they weren't going to keep any items. Neither 'rule' was ever mentioned at drop off. She threw her staff & customers under the bus & did not back up staff on all the things we coordinated with them. She decided to punish the customer instead. Never seen anything like it. She should not manage a business or people.

I enjoy the items the shop offers (it completely varies on what they accept based on who is working - sometimes they will take stuff I didn't think they would be interested in and refuse new w/tag name brand items). I have to agree with some of the other reviewers about the friendliness. It varies a lot (some of the teens that work there are snooty) - if you can find out when the owner is there, she is great.

I love to go to this place. I always find great deals & the people are very nice. It's the place to go, if you want to buy or sale clothes.

Used to love this store. Had reasonable prices. The last several times I've gone the prices have shot way up. They also seem to only take designer clothes now. I've taken The Limited, Loft, H&M, Levi's, Old Navy, ModCloth, Urban Outfitters, etc clothes in new condition in and they don't accept it. I also saw two Vera Bradley bags of the exact same size and condition, just different color, and one was $35 and one was $16. Turning into a Platos Closet unfortunately and likely lost a long time customer.

Excellent place! One of the cleanest resale shops we've ever visited. Both the clothing and the furniture departments. Excellent people too, go and enjoy!

This store is amazing!!! It is decorated so chic and all of the sizes are clearly marked. Awesome finds in any size. If you love labels this is the spot for you. Everything is nice and clean. HOWEVER if you are looking for warm and friendly staff you won't find it here. They are rich in fashions & labels but you will feel short changed on friendly customer service.

This place is a gem in springfield, the customer service is amazing, and I always find great deals! I love the owner and her daughter who I got to know from shopping there. They also take your gently used clothes or donate them to goodwill. I definitely recommend (:

Great brands at great prices! I've gotten a few gently used items at this store that were in excellent condition. Just yesterday I bought an adorable dress for just $13. I love the set up too. Unlike a lot of 2nd hand stores, second time around doesn't make it hard for customers to sort through merchandise by putting too many items on the racks. The store feels a lot more upscale than most resale shops because of how clean and organized it is.
