Is there any gluten free options?

      A:

Yes. They have fresh fish options and other meats and even a desert w/o gluten. They seemed knowledgeable about making options GF as well. No reaction for me!

Are they turning away customers who do not want to show their vaccine records to employees?

      A:

I have no problem showing my card. There is a sign at the hostess desk to be prepared to show ID AND Vaccination Cards. I was asked to put on my mask as I was leaving the restaurant. This was one week before… more

Starting with the hostess who found a place for us, and Rick our marvelously engaging server I knew this place was going to be good. The sound level was good for conversation and we could watch the chef in the kitchen.

The food was amazing! We had the halibut, the seafood boil, and the scallops for our mains. The charred octopus was a huge hit as well. I would definitely come back here is we were visiting Seattle again.

In town for our son's business school graduation and he picked this restaurant due to the yelp review.
Everything was excellent. The octopus appetizer is a must and their scallops were great. Watching the kitchen, it was evident they take great pride in their dishes.
While not cheap, the drinks and food were great. Service was good also, never had to ask for anything.

We've had two lovely birthday dinners for my husband here. It's a lovely place for a small group of friends and family to enjoy a night out.

Their cocktails are delicious. And it's exactly the type of place where you want to get one. The charred octopus is excellent as are their fish entrees.

Mostly, you feel cozy and special and well taken care of while you are there.

I wanted to love this place but honestly, for the price we paid, the food was not that great. The hostess was very friendly and bubbly. Our waiter was nice but not overly attentive or helpful. We had the seafood pozole and seared scallop entrees. We had the hamachi and oyster appetizers. Again, the food was okay but we came out paying over $200 for a meal that was just okay. Had we been hungrier I think we would've had to search for a McDonald's to supplement the meal.

Quality and flavor in an intimate setting.

After having a very underwhelming experience at another location in the area I was craving delicious seafood and Shaker+Spear gave me just that.

We started off with their local greens, hamachi and hush puppies. Everything was very light and full of flavor.
For our entrees we tried the Alaskan halibut and honestly worth every bite. So fresh, ingredients perfectly complimented each other it was delicious.

If you find yourself in the area this place delivers in every sense of the word.

I came here with my colleagues and we were unimpressed with this restaurant. For starters, we failed to realize that only brunch menu items were available on Sunday at 12noon, and we had just come from brunch about 2 hours prior. That was my fault, as I should have visited their website and realize that the lunch menu was not an option (I had relied on photos posted and was sold on the grilled octopus on the cover page).

We were then told that specialty juices that were on the menu were unavailable, without any explanation. Hot tea was available, but not iced tea. The reason was because iced tea took time to properly brew and if they put ice in hot tea, it would be diluted. Rather than serve diluted tea, they were unwilling to provide the iced tea. While we understood their rationale, it was a bit odd because we said that we didn't mind the diluted iced tea.

This was not off to a good start!...and it only got worse!...

I ordered the Dungeness Crab Shrimp Louie and requested the thousand island dressing on the side. This was not an option because the shrimp and crab were premixed with thousand island dressing. I guess this was my big hint that the dish was not freshly prepared! I ordered this dish anyway, since nothing else on the menu appealed to me. This was a mistake. The shrimp and crab mixture were overly drenched in thousand island dressing. The chips had a funky oregano taste and were incredibly salty. The lettuce was semi-rotten and some pieces were downright black and slimy.

We ordered a side of truffle fries to share. They were soggy, greasy, and ultra salty, with barely any truffles. The waiter was kind enough to not charge us for this, but I felt the Dungeness Crab Shrimp Louie should have also been taken off the bill. It was obvious I didn't touch the rotten salad.

The only good thing I have to say was that the raw oysters were fresh. They were expensive though, $50 for a dozen.

I don't know how dinner is here, but I would never recommend this place for brunch.

Shaker + Spear in Seattle is an absolute gem! From the moment I sat down at the bar, I knew I was in for a treat. Rick, the bartender, was phenomenal--kind and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my meal. The dining room's elegance is matched by its simplicity, creating a beautiful and inviting atmosphere.

I started with the spicy margarita, a perfectly balanced kick of heat and sweet that tantalized my taste buds. The hamachi was fresh and expertly seasoned, a must-try for any seafood lover. The pan-seared scallops were the star of the evening--succulent and perfectly cooked, paired wonderfully with the subtle tanginess of the chèvre cheesecake, which was an absolute delight and a perfect end to my culinary journey.

The noise level was just right, allowing for easy conversation. This restaurant is an excellent choice for a romantic date or a relaxed evening catching up with good friends over a delicious meal. I highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you get to experience this wonderful spot. Thank you, Shaker + Spear, for such a memorable evening!

Outstanding Service and delicious Meal. Ordered the most magnificent hush puppies, followed by perfectly cooked asparagus as a side. The man meal, mine was scallops, tender and delicious.
My husband ordered the Halibut and the presentation and the taste was up to par, perfection.
Our server Adrienne was on top of things and suggested the Mortica drink, which was black and tasted like I just want the whole jug! I actually asked for it, lol! The chef Justin, presented us with oysters on the house, for our 36 wedding anniversary! Who does that, now a day! Stellar service in every way! As we gladly paid the bill, we were presented with 2 glasses of champagne! Need I say more, don't hesitate and give this place a try, you will not regret it... worth every cent and Calorie!!!! Thank You for a memorable evening and kind and delightful Customer Service and Welcome!

A good brunch spot with a small focus on seafood. I got the fish sando which was yummy, but a little pricey for what it was (a fish burger with fries). The service was pretty standard, and we were able to get seated immediately on a Saturday afternoon.
