Washington Park

Beautiful, expansive park! This is a park where there is something for everyone. Lots of different scenic areas to walk. You'll see people on a relaxing stroll, power-walking, running, walking their dogs, biking, etc. Several areas to feed the ducks and geese. In recent years the ponds have really been cleaned up too. Lots of big beautiful trees. Many different parking lots. Huge playground for children. If you're lucky you'll be there when the beautiful Carillon bells are playing - it's magical!

A well done city park with a variety of unique amenities. There are lakes, tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic facilities, and other typical park features.

There's also a carillon--a musical instrument consisting of a tower of bells, botanical garden, rose garden, and conservatory.

Super!! You can ride your bike and do many loops! I love the trees and lakes! It is like a mini forest! The scenery is gorgeous and there are tennis courts, picnic tables, many geese. Sometimes they can hiss though if you g we too close. There are turtles crossing too

I LOVE this park!
It's close the office and a nice stop on the way back to the hotel!
The hills make the walk a good workout!
I haven't attempted to run yet, but the walk is enjoyable.

The botanical gardens contained within has alot on the outside even if their limited hours keep you from enjoying the inside.

There is a number of different sections of the park for one's enjoyment. A fountain, a lake, places to feed the ducks, places to watch the water, the corillian, the play ground, a tennis area... and more.

Stop by and take a walk and enjoy nature!
