The ambience was great, the clam chowder was to die for. I'm not a seafood eater so the short rib was my main entrée. It was delicious.

We just celebrated our wedding at the restaurant. David and Tate were awesome, they helped us a lot and made all the planning easier. Thank you for all!!

Near the SF Ferry my friend and I swung by here on a Sunday afternoon for some quick bites after a yoga class nearby. We arrived during their happy hour so it was pretty busy but the hostess was quick to let us sit at the bar area as soon as seats opened up. Since we were here during the happy hour I noticed servers were attentive to make sure all customers ordered everything they would want to from the happy hour before it ended.

My friend and I enjoyed the chef's special oysters, the baked oysters, and their fries. Happy hour was pretty good we would definitely consider coming back even during normal dining hours to try more food and their wines.

So the food is decent , oysters are good and well priced during happy hour and service is just ok. My biggest let down however is shady charging on my bill. During my visit a waiter brought an heirloom tomatoes salad to my table. But we did not order this. We told the waiter and he promptly took it away untouched. When the bill came , I quickly gave the waiter my credit card as it was a special occasion and i did not want my friends to pay. Afterwards i noticed they charged me for that heirloom salad.

Thats shady guys , you brought something i didn't order , then charge me for it.

I suggest anyone that visits to inspect your bill carefully

Ordered seafood platter that is not worth 185 in my opinion. They included the dozen oysters we ordered as starters to make it look more full. The rest of the food was good so were the drinks.

I've been here a few times already, and always enjoy their daily featured oyster deal. The oysters are $1.55 each, and ordered 2 dozen. The oysters were medium sized and creamy, it was very good, especially with tobasco! We also got their Soft Shell Crab Sandwich, and the staff was able to split this dish into two plates so it was easier to share between 2 people. This sandwich was delicious! I enjoyed the bread, it tasted like focaccia bread. It also had avocado and an almond pesto which was tasty!

The service here was amazing! They always filled our cups of water and were friendly. We sat outdoor since it was a beautiful sunny day and their was a live band outdoor which added a lovely ambiance to this restaurant.

Busy but superb service. Lovely lunch experience.
View, breathtaking! Oysters, full of flavour but pretty small in sizes. Clam chowder was delicious but a bit too salty. Best to let customers use salt & pepper if desired!

Overall A+: Lovely views, food & service amazing, sat inside on a sunny Sunday: oysters, fried, crab salad, bourbon and gin cocktails. Highly recommend.

Had a chance to try Waterbar during a dinner with the family and it was really fun. This place is located in front of the Bay Bridge and the views are amazing! We were able to see the sunset which was really nice and service here was top notch. When sitting down we ended up trying:

* Strawberry fields drink - i love pisco sours and this drink was close to that. This had a tart taste to it which I loved

* French Fries - standard and plentiful this hit the spot

*Kumamomto oyster - I usually like these a lot but this tasted a little fishy to me

*calamari - delicious and lightly battered you could tell these were fresh

* halibut ceviche - this came in a coconut broth sauce and I loved it. So flavorful! The avocado and the crunchy chick peas made it even better

* Chicken karaage - this was a huge hit on the table and everyone loved how crispy the chicken was. The sauce it came with was also delicious

* Miso Cod- this is what I got for my main entree and I'll be honest I was very disappointed. The cod skin was way to salty and the broth lacked flavor.

* Carrot cake - we got this for dessert and this was delicious. I loved how it came with ice cream which was the perfect combo

* phyllo dough wrapped chocolate dessert - this was AMAZING... i would go back just for this. Loved how crispy the outer layer was combined with the gooeyness of the chocolate. The ice cream with it was divine.

*Rhubarb crisp - too tarty for me so i would skip

*strawberry shortcake - folks at the table liked this a lot, it was unique but in the same spirit of the strawberry shortcake

Overall, lovely experience but skip the cod!

Beautiful views and yummy food!

I came to Waterbar during their happy hour and really loved the ambiance. We had to wait a little bit to get seated outside but totally worth the wait. I ordered a glass of white wine (which is $8 during happy hour) and their artisanal cheese plate. I really enjoyed the cheese plate though I wish there was more cheese. There was honestly a lot of bread and candied walnuts and little of anything else. Considering the steeper price I was hoping for more.

They also have a great happy hour deal on oysters that I highly recommend trying!

I have been to Waterbar and its partner restaurant next door - Epic a few times as both have beautiful bay views and outdoor dining!!

We sat on the outdoor patio and though it was a cool night, the heat lamps made it very comfortable! Our waiter was nice enough but not particularly friendly or conversational but service was fast and professional.

We shared with some drinks and their clam chowder which was delicious ! It had a little chili sauce which added some heat but just the right amount! It was my favorite dish of the night especially accompanied by their Sourdough bread!

Then we had their Hamachi sashimi which was great, grilled oysters which were good, ahi tuna ceviche which was excellent and the crispy squid!

We ended with a rhubarb crisp with basil sorbet which was really good!

One thing which was a little surprising was for a higher end restaurant, their bathrooms were terrible! The trash can was overflowing with paper all over the floor and it needed a good clean! It looked as though jt had not been cleaned that day as the restaurant was not particularly full!

Like this place but their sister property next door is better!
