Ikotun is a community northwest of Lagos in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria. It is the part of the biggest local government in Lagos state: Alimosho.

Ikotun is a multi-lingual city. Like most parts of Lagos, Yoruba is spoken by much of the population, although other ethnic languages such as Igbo and Hausa are well represented. Many of its inhabitants speak English to a reasonable extent.
