Any slasher fan who loves the classics has seen at least one of the Sleepaway Camp films. Their plots differ as they go on, but the killer is always the same, the creepy and crazy but lovable Angela, who lost her father and sister to a boating accident when - he - was six.
Did I say HE? That's right, after the boating accident, Peter was taken in by his eccentric aunt, who named him Angela and dressed him as a girl, basically turning him into a girl, and between the homophobic society of the Eighties and living with the crazy aunt, he/she went a little batty.
The film series was kind of lacking by the time a 2008 one came out, but Sleepaway Camp is, and always will be, an original and popular series among fans.
This documentary discusses the legacy of the series, from the strange, creepy and hilarious ways Angela kills people, to the acting, soundtrack and the way the series changed with the times. I won't wreck the plot by saying everything you'll see in this documentary but I can say to fans of Sleepaway Camp, you won't be disappointed!
