Biography

Claudia Ordaz Perez graduated from Montwood High School in 2004. Ordaz Perez earned a degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.[1] Her career experience includes working as a legislative staffer and communications director in the Texas Senate and a press secretary in the U.S. House of Representatives.[2]

The city of El Paso, Texas, held elections for mayor and city council on May 9, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 27, 2015. Five of the eight city council seats were up for election, including Districts 1, 5, 6 and 8. In District 6, incumbent Claudia Ordaz defeated Michael Pickett.[3][4]
