Frank Polo is an America First candidate who has based his political career on the fight against corruption in the Family court system, protecting our constitutional rights and improving the lives of others in our community. Frank Polo is a fifty years old, Conservative father of two nine years old twins, and he is a faithful husband.

He was born and raised in Cuba in a catholic family with great family values. Frank Polo is an ex-telecommunications business owner with education in telecommunications, advanced Tax-Law and a Bachelor's degree in business administration. He owned and ran his international telecommunications company in over fourteen countries for more than seven years, and now he continues to incursion in the taxation business world. At the age of twenty-two, Frank Polo escaped Castro's Cuban tyranny on a raft in 1994, and he was transported to the U.S. Naval Base of Guantanamo Bay, where he was detained for ten months.

Polo has a firm and absolute commitment to protecting our Freedoms, protecting our constitutional rights, and fighting for justice for all. Also, as a Cuban who suffered and lived under communism, Frank Polo has a serious commitment to preserving our freedom in America. Moreover, Frank Polo has is committed to fighting for the freedom of other countries, like Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

  • Frank Polo will be a fighter for everyone's rights, the right of those who can and those who cannot access the judicial system, especially the victims of Judicial Corruption.
  • Frank Polo will be a fighter to protect the constitutional rights of all Americans and will fight to prevent foreign and domestic enemies from undermining our freedoms, including but not limited to our first and second amendment rights.
  • Frank Polo will be working to create better jobs, make America energy independent, better opportunities for our Small Businesses, fight drug consumption in school, and help those who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction.

Judicial Administration, International Politics, Small Business, Healthcare, National Security, and protection of our youth and elder population.

I would follow the example of those who have fought for freedom and justice for all. I admire Abrahan Lincoln, Dr. Martin Luther King, and Ronald Regan. I believe that we are all born equal; therefore, we should have equal rights under the law for all.

Candidates must follow the law and create laws based on the best interest of the people and not the interest of those financing their campaigns.

A leader with well-defined honest character, legal knowledge, the ability to lead others through difficult times, and policy/law-making skills.

The core responsibilities are lawmaking and policy drafting as it was conceived by the framers of the Constitution. The house members have a responsibility to make laws representing the popular will.

A better country and more just society for our children.

My first job was as a busboy and I had it for over a year.

A leader with well-defined honest character, live and professional life experiences, the ability to lead others through difficult times, legal knowledge, and policy/law-making skills.

It is always beneficial to have previous experience in government or politics. Nevertheless, other real-life, as well as educational experience can substitute for government experience.

The biggest challenges we will face in the next decade will be recovering the economy, protecting our national security, protecting and securing our constitutional rights, and overcoming the advance of Communism in many parts of the world.

Homeland Security, Judiciary, Joint Committee on Taxation, Appropriations, or Foreign Affairs.

I believe that two, maximum three terms of 4 years each term is the proper length for representatives.

I believe that two, maximum three terms of 4 years is the right length for representatives.

No. We are all unique in different ways; nevertheless, we can always learn from our current representatives.

I have heard many personal stories, most of them related to the corruption in the court system and how many decent, honest, and hard-working parents are losing custody of their children for not having the resources to fight back the courts and the corruption within.

I have also heard many parents worry about their children's future due to drug use and abuse in public schools. That must be unacceptable in our society. We can all work together to make a change in those two areas.

Yes, sometimes there is no other choice but to compromise. As long as you don't compromise core principles, then yes, there will be times when it would be necessary.

Campaign website

Polo's campaign website stated the following:

Our policies are focused on protecting our families, liberty, and the traditional values that made America great. After this crisis that has left our country’s economy devastated, we must resolve the problems of America First. Therefore, we want to implement policies that are going to help district 27 to get back on its feet. Nothing better to accomplish this than getting better-paid jobs, better and more affordable access to quality education, more affordable access to healthcare, and occupational on-the-job training.

JUDICIAL CORRUPTION

Judicial Misconduct is one of the worse problems our American people are living in today. Families are suffering due to improper conduct of those in charge of applying the laws in the Judicial branch, and many children lose the presence of one of their parents due to Judicial misconduct.

The United States Judicial system was founded on the idea that no one is above the law. However, the Supreme court has interpreted that Judges have absolute immunity, so long as they commit their wrong acts within their jurisdiction. In other words, if he sentences you to death intentionally and out of the evilest ill will, it doesn’t matter, he would be protected. See the Supreme Court’s decision in Stump v. Sparkman.

Even when the States have their Judicial Qualifications Commissions, they very frequently fail to do their job for many reasons that I will not discuss herein, but I am sure you can imagine why.

In the case of Federal Judges, 28 U.S.C. § 351(d)(1) states that only “a circuit judge, district judge, bankruptcy judge, or magistrate judge” may be investigated and punished.

This means that if a judge retires after being accused of serious crimes, they will be able to retire, keep their pension, and they will not suffer any consequences for their acts.

We will propose legislation to amend 28 U.S.C. § 351 to make sure that Federal Judges are investigated and punished for crimes committed, even after the termination of their tenure. Moreover, Polo will propose the creation of a national, free of influence, Judicial committee that will have the power to investigate judges at the national level, even after retirement, and will have the power to disbar any judge, either Federal or State judges (in states that chose to participate), for acts committed while in office, if those acts are malicious, and with the intent of harming a member of the public.

STAND WITH OUR MILITARY & SUPPORT OUR VETERANS

Politics do not belong in the military, and no politician should ever doubt about supporting the men and women who sacrifice everything to preserve our freedoms. Having a superior and ready military prevents wars. Peace through strength is the best way to prevent never-ending military incursion into conflict areas. Our primary focus should be military readiness and superiority concerning countries like China and Russia not imposing CRT and gender politics on our brave soldiers.

Our brave men and women stand against tyranny in the name of freedom every day and do not deserve to experience tyrannical imposition of political doctrines from those that they are defending. Our soldiers sacrifice their own freedom for the freedom of all of us in America; consequently, we must do a far better job standing and providing for our veterans here at home!

“We know only too well that war comes not when the forces of freedom are strong, but when they are weak. It is then that tyrants are tempted.”
Ronald Reagan, Republican National Convention, July 17 1980
“We maintain the peace through our strength; weakness only invites aggression.”
Ronald Reagan
“To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace.”
George Washington

PROTECTION OF OUR FIRST AMENDMENT

The day that we consent to be censored by our government we will have lost all right to think, speak, and act freely, which is a fundamental right protected by our constitution. We cannot tolerate Censorship in America. Polo will fight to prevent censorship from becoming the norm.

Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board (“Ministry of Truth”) was a governmental attempt to infringe our right to free speech which must not be tolerated. The first amendment guarantees us the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, the right to assemble peaceably, and the right to address our grievances with those we have yielded a limited amount of power.

We currently have rogue un-American elected officials that believe that coming after political enemies is fine so long as they have the power to do so. Some people within our institution believe that abusing their power is just fine and want us to accept such wrongful behavior as the norm. The current administration supports such erroneous behavior, and the administration appears to be determined to undermine our God-given freedoms.

Moreover, Social Media companies abused the status & protections afforded them by section 230 in order to push the democrat agenda and narrative, seemingly targeting opposing voices to their selected narrative. Consequently, we must re-evaluate the liability protection in order to protect the constitutional rights of every American citizen and prevent those companies from abusing the people’s constitutional rights.

REDUCE FOREIGN INFILTRATION IN AMERICA

While no other politician in South Florida had the courage to stand against the Cuban, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan infiltration in the United States, Polo raised his voice against that issue in the name of the U.S. National security.

As the article published in Cubacenter.org says “The Wasp Network, That Killed Americans And Plotted A Terror Attack On Us Soil, Were Not The Castro Regime’s Last Soldiers Of The Cold War.”

None of our previous representatives that came before Polo had the courage to bring the attention of congress to the pressing need for the U.S. to stop the Cuban infiltration using the 20,000 visas that Clinton granted to the Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro in 1995. Moreover, our Southern border has become another point of entrance of foreign intelligence services agents who later operate in the U.S. to undermine our electoral system, influence the election of Federal politicians, judges, and the nominations of advisors to important U.S. governmental positions.

The dictatorships of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua represent a threat to our national security and they must be treated as such.

PROTECTING THE SECOND AMENDMENT

As a Cuban who was born and raised in a tyrannical government, the protection of the Second Amendment is fundamental to Polo. The popular belief that the function of the second amendment is for the purpose of hunting, or to protect us against our neighbors is totally erroneous. Its primary function is to protect “We The People” from a tyrannical government.

The constitution is clear when it states, “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, SHALL not be infringed” (James Madison). Every society developing into socialism, authoritarianism, or for that matter communism has a fundamental need to restrict or eliminate any kind of access to arms. In a society where the people have the right to keep and bear arms, the implementation of a communist regime is almost impossible. Therefore, it is paramount that we protect our Second Amendment Right to protect our society and way of life.

Why do socialists like Maria Elvira Salazar want to prevent you from having access to keep and bear arms? The answer is contained in history and the words of some of the greatest presidents we had:

“To disarm the people…[i]s the most effectual way to enslave them.”
George Mason. Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution, June 14, 1788
“The ultimate authority…resides in the people alone…The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation…forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition.”
James Madison
“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms.”
Thomas Jefferson, letter to James Madison, December 20, 1787
“I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.”
Thomas Jefferson, letter to James Madison, January 30, 1787
“The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
Thomas Jefferson, Commonplace Book (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria), 1774-1776
“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759
“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.”
William Pitt (the Younger), Speech in the House of Commons, November 18, 1783

STANDING FOR THE UNBORN

There is no doubt about life being an inalienable God-given gift; therefore, only he may take it away. We must defend the pre-born and preserve their right to life. Federal funding to any institution that participates directly or indirectly in the murder of the pre-born must be prohibited.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”
Deuteronomy 30:19
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.”
Psalms 127:3

SECURE OUR BORDER

The foreign policy power, found in Article I and Article II of the U.S. Constitution, gives the Federal government the power to regulate our immigration procedures. For many years, Polo has warned the Federal authorities about the potential national security implications of having an open border that permits foreign Nicaraguan, Venezuelan, and Cuban intelligence agents to freely come to operate inside our borders.

As an Immigrant himself, Polo understands the need for immigration reform. Nevertheless, he also understands that any talking about immigration reform must happen after our border is secured. Furthermore, we have immigration laws that our current administration is instructing agencies to ignore, and that is totally unacceptable.

Legal immigration and expeditious processing of legal immigrants should be encouraged. Polo blames the current administration for encouraging lawless behavior and exposing kids and women to the horrors of trafficking, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation.

Once the border is secured, in an effort to prevent any party from using our immigrants as a voting trophy, any proposal for immigration reform must be with the express removal of the right to vote in consideration for obtaining all other benefits associated with the legalization.

The argument of the left about the right to vote as an absolute right for U.S. Citizens is baseless and frivolous. Since the enactment of the 14th Amendment, the U.S. Constitution has been amended four more times to prohibit states, once they have granted the right to from denying the right to vote based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude (15th), sex (19th), failure to pay poll tax (24th), and age, 18 years and older (26th). There are no other enumerated factors preventing the Federal or State governments from removing the right to vote based on other conditions.

No constitutional provision asserts that there is a right to vote. The existing provisions assert that the states cannot deny the right to vote based on the above-mentioned criteria.

We must FINISH THE WALL & SECURE OUR BORDER to protect America from any foreign enemies.

ELECTION INTEGRITY

America has always been known for having free and fair elections until now. There is a common consensus among many Americans who believe the 2020 election was fraudulent and thus stolen. This should be absolutely unacceptable to any person who believes in freedom and our electoral system. So long as we cannot say that our elections are secured, and perceived as secure, we will no longer be able to say we have a free and fair election system.

To secure our electoral process and restore public trust we must take the following steps.

  1. Require, at the state level, every voter to have and present a voter ID at the time of voting. The radical argument about voters’ suppression is insane and baseless. They do not complain when they have to present an ID to board an airplane.
  2. We must stop the push of Democrats to federalize elections by removing the power of states to conduct, control, and regulate their own elections.
  3. We must prevent fraudulent manipulation of computer software to alter the result of elections.

By Federalizing elections, the Democrats want to:

  1. Have automatic and same-day voter registration;
  2. require the states to have vote by mail and early voting;
  3. override state voter ID laws and
  4. establishing a new taxpayer-funded campaign ATM that would ensure certain candidates to receive millions of dollars in federal taxpayer dollars.

EDUCATION FOR OUR YOUTH

SCHOOL RETENTION

Proper education is the primary support for our future workforce. Nevertheless, school retention in District 27 continues to be one of the lowest in Miami-Dade. Consequently, my office will create an incentive-based program to promote school retention from high school to college.

LOWER STUDENT LOANS

The previously mentioned program will reduce the total amount of student loans the students will have to pay upon graduation. Therefore, this will create an incentive for students not to drop out of school. Additionally, it will reduce the interest on student loans.

NO INDOCTRINATION IN EDUCATION

No indoctrination of any kind should be permitted in schools. When we leave our children at school, we expect them free of any harm. In my opinion, children’s political indoctrination is another form of psychological child abuse. I will seek to pass legislation, which will prevent student indoctrination. This legislation will also make school districts liable for permitting political indoctrination in public schools.

EDUCATION & PROMOTION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

My office will bring federal funds to promote entrepreneurship among students who finish a career and can’t find a job. We will implement a program that helps incentivize entrepreneurship from an early age among the youngest students.

LOWERING THE COST OF QUALITY EDUCATION

Additionally, my office will support a Federal coupon program similar to the one Florida has implemented. This will allow more low-income parents to send their children to the school of their choice. Moreover, the parents will not have to worry about the zip code where they live.

IMPROVING READING SKILLS

I support President Trump’s proposal to return the optional reading/studies of the Bible to public schools. Parents should be free to decide if they want their children to read the Bible or any other books. Whether they are religious or non-religious is irrelevant. What is important is for the children to engage in reading at least an hour per day at school. Reading will greatly benefit the children to develop better reading skills.

OUR IMMIGRATION POLICIES

“As an immigrant who came from Cuba on a raft, I understand the immigration challenges our people endures. I also understand the need for our immigration policies that reflect the reality of our times. Moreover, I understand the pain that immigrants have to go through when they must abandon their countries. In many cases, this immigration is not voluntary, but a forced one. This kind of migration is, in many cases, involuntary and caused by dictatorial regimes. Many of us don’t migrate for the economic situation of our countries. We migrate for the persecution and hostility we have to suffer in our own countries. Many of us suffer the separation from our house, families, and friends when we have no other choice than to migrate.

Immigration Policies Reform

I understand that immigrants have always been a source of enrichment of our culture, economy, and society in general. Millions of immigrants are in our country illegally and they need help to get a solution to their problem. Therefore, we must direct our immigration policies at achieving a comprehensive reform of our immigration system. Consequently, my office will support a reform of the immigration system.

However, it is also true and imperative to have an ordered and controlled immigration system. There is no doubt in my mind that immigration reform is necessary, but we cannot afford to pay the price of implementing immigration reform without securing our borders. Therefore, we must secure our borders before contemplating a comprehensive immigration reform.

Policies for Cubans, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans

My office will support, at least provisionally, a visa program for Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, Cubans, or any other individual who is seeking political asylum. They are victims of a totalitarian regime and deserve protection.

Moreover, I understand that the Cuban government trades their professionals as if they were merchandise. This is a form of modern slavery, which is unacceptable for me. Consequently, I will fight to reinstate the Cuban Medical Professional Parole Program to ensure that those professionals receive a fair opportunity to migrate to obtain their freedom. The Obama administration terminated this program in 2017 when it should have never ended.

Additionally, I will work to streamline the Family Reunification Parole Program for U.S. Citizens and legal residents with virtual interviews without the need for a drastic increase in personnel. Lastly, I will pressure our sitting president to end the 20,000 visas that the Clinton administration granted to the Dictatorship in 1994. Cuban intelligence services agents use those visas to infiltrate our society. Then they stay operating within American soil without any restrictions. Therefore, our government must suspend those visas as soon as possible.

COMMUNISTS & DICTATORS IN THE REGION.

Raul Castro’s resignation from power does not mean that communism has ended in Cuba. Neither does it mean that they will stop influencing the politic in the countries like Nicaragua and Venezuela. Additionally, the Cuban dictatorship is preparing a fake transition into a democracy to deceive the exiled Cuban community.

As a Cuban who was a victim of communism, I will commit to denounce and seek sanctions against any dictatorship. The Cuban, Venezuelan, and Nicaraguan governments are just that, dictatorships. Other countries, such as Argentina, Peru, and Honduras, have already fallen under the grip of socialist movements. Since 1959 all the ills of the Americas have originated in Cuba, and they have expanded to the Americas. My office will maintain a solid commitment to the final and absolute freedom of Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

CULTURAL EXCHANGE:

The so-called Cultural Exchange is disadvantageous to our local artists. Moreover, it is immoral to the Cuban people who lived under a dictatorship for more than sixty (60) years. The cultural exchange facilitates the flow of foreign currency into the Cuban coffers, which they use to repress the people. It also helps the infiltration of Cuban agents in our country while enriching the Cuban Government’s repressive machinery. Therefore, I will work tirelessly to eliminate the evil Cultural Exchange.

CONDITIONAL ULTIMATUM (TEMPORARY AMNESTY) TO THE CUBAN COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP:

Cuba continues to engage in the exportation of Communism in this hemisphere and meddling with the U.S. electoral system. Consequently, I will work on getting an official U.S. proclamation declaring Cuba as a threat to our national security. Upon receiving it, I will seek to extend a conditional and temporary amnesty to the Cuban dictators. The proposal will ask for them to leave the island of Cuba peacefully within a reasonable timeframe.

However, this temporary offer will include only the forgiveness of their life while they leave the island. But, it will not include the forgiveness of crimes against humanity. Additionally, if the dictators, or their relatives, return to the island, they will have to face justice. They will pay for the crime of illegal entry and any pending crime against humanity. If the conditioned proposal is not accepted, then I will seek to obtain more extreme measures.

CUBAN COMMUNISM AS A THREAT TO OUR NATIONAL SECURITY:

It is no secret to anyone that the Cuban dictatorship promotes communism and terrorist activities throughout the Americas region. Moreover, The recent immigration flows in the last few years were a consequence of the influence of Cuba in Venezuela and Nicaragua. Additionally, the Cuban government promotes, maneuvers, and supports the exodus of Cubans through third countries. Cuba found channels to continue the illegal migration of Cubans through Mexico and other countries in the region. Therefore, we must protect our national security by stopping the entrance of Cuban spies through U.S. borders.

Moreover, Cuba has flooded our country with its agents of influence who they inserted into our society. Those agents move public opinion and influence the selection of Candidates to many local and national public offices. Therefore, the Cuban regime represents a threat to the stability of the region, the U.S. electoral integrity, and U.S. national security.

REMITTANCE AND TRAVEL TO CUBA:

We must impose additional sanctions on the Cuban dictatorship. Those sanctions will not affect the right of each Cuban abroad to provide for their families and visit them. Nevertheless, visits must be those considered normal but not abusive. Therefore, I will promote a governmental policy towards family trips to the island. Those trips will have limits of one per year, as a right, and two additional trips due to family emergencies. Emergency trips will be available through the International Red Cross. Additionally, remittances will be adjusted according to the real needs of the relatives on the island. This will avoid excessive capital support to the Cuban dictatorship from exiled Cubans.

CUBAN RETURNEES

The returnees go back to Cuba, and they keep a standard of living that is not available to the Cuban people. Many of them obtain migratory benefits available only to those fleeing from a communist dictatorship such as Cuba. Moreover, they retain Social Security benefits, and they keep traveling to and from the U.S. to do cash-generating business.

The Cuban People struggle to survive under a regime that represses and imposes communism on their people. Additionally, the Cuban people suffer absolute misery and repression while the government allows returnees privileges not available to all Cubans. Therefore, the returnees benefit from the agony and suffering of the Cuban people. Consequently, I will promote the creation of legislation or regulation to prohibit the readmission of those repatriated.

POLITICAL ASYLUM, MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL PAROLE PROGRAM, FAMILY REUNIFICATION, VISAS:

I will support a parole program for Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, Cubans, Argentineans, or any other victims of Communism. Moreover, I will fight to reinstate the Cuban Medical Professional Parole Program terminated by the Obama administration in 2017.

Our current congressperson dedicates time and resources to mislead Cubanas about her interest in resolving the Family Reunification problem. On the other hand, I made a firm commitment to work on streamlining the Cuban Family Reunification Parole Program since 2019. Additionally, I will try to terminate the 20,000 visas program resulting from the Clinton/Castro negotiations of 1995. Those visas only facilitate the Cuban government to infiltrate their intelligence personnel into our city. Therefore, we will facilitate visa access only to those political refugees who demonstrate to be engaged in political activities.

INTERNET ACCESS AND TV/RADIO MARTÍ BROADCAST:

New times require new strategies. It is time for Radio and Tv Marti to transmit their signal to the island in a more effective manner. Radio and TV Marti can become a great tool to combat Communism in Cuba. After more than thirty-five (35) since the creation of Radio and TV Marti, Cuba remains one of the world’s most repressive environments. Consequently, I will promote the use of new methods to get free Internet to Cuba and improve the broadcast of Radio/TV Marti programming for every Cuban. The Cuban people deserve free access to information.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR YOUTHS

“Our focus will not only be to find opportunities for our youths. We have plans to help everyone by creating better jobs for all; however, this topic is important to us as parents. Young people who do not finish high school are more likely to lack the skills to function in this difficult labor market. Young people with limited levels of education are more likely to be unemployed. Moreover, they are more likely to need government assistance or become involved in crime and drugs.

Our Future Depend on Our Youths

Young people are the future of our nation. Nevertheless, if we do not find opportunities for our youths, the future of our country will be uncertain. That is why we will focus a large part of our work on giving opportunities to young people. It is a fact that not all of us can be doctors, dentists, or lawyers. And this is because not everyone wants to be a doctor, dentist, or lawyer. Therefore, the younger generations deserve the opportunity to have higher-paying jobs. This is true even when they fall short of traditionally recognized well-paying jobs.

This is What We Will Do To Provide Opportunities For Our Youths

We will work to supply opportunities for our youths who will, eventually, become the backbone of our economy. Additionally, we will integrate recent high school graduates into the workforce. Moreover, we will work diligently to encourage the private sector to take part in mentoring and employment programs. In addition, we will focus on obtaining federal grants to improve the employability of those young adults. We will focus especially, on those who just graduated from high school and did not pursue a career. We will also use these funds to aid those who have graduated from a University and cannot find a job.

About forty-three (43) percent of the jobs in our country are in the services, technical, sales, and administrative support branches. Therefore, my office will work with the private sector to create new opportunities in these areas. We’ll find training opportunities for students who have dropped out of college and those who don’t finish high school. This way, we will provide better opportunities for our youths.”

ECONOMY AND JOB CREATION

“As a consequence of the novel coronavirus outbreak, our economy has suffered and will suffer more. We lost thousands of jobs, and some employers have even reduced the working hours to employees they decided to retain. Therefore, our community needs new ideas on how to bring back jobs and improve work conditions.”

Taxing the Rich

“The hard-working American people deserve to have a decent living wage. Nevertheless, taxing the rich is not the solution. Common sense dictates that if you tax the rich, they will pass along the cost of doing business to us. In the end, we will end up paying more for products and services.”

New Jobs Creation

“We need to bring good-paying jobs to Florida by incentivizing creating new industries and jobs in our city. Promote policies that will benefit the Film industry incursion into the South Florida markets. We will encourage new filming productions and create and implement programs like those outlined hereunder to improve our local economy.”

Job Creation in The Trucking Industry

“The U.S. trucking industry is essential for the U.S. economy. This industry accounts for more than 5% of all the full-time jobs in America; nevertheless, truckers themselves earn a lower-than-average wage.

Improving Work Conditions in The Industry

‘The Trucking industry moves seventy-one percent of all the freight in America. Moreover, nearly five percent of all the full-time jobs in the country are in the trucking industry. Hence, my office will support a program that will bring better working conditions, remuneration, and benefits into the industry. My office will seek federal funding to incentivize nonprofit organizations in the industry to promote better pay and benefits.”

The participating organizations will compete in the national trucking industry. Additionally, they will produce at a lower cost by cutting off the middleman and keeping in-house brokers. Also, these organizations will have to keep in-house dispatch, essential mechanical and body shop services. Those organizations accessing those funds will be contractually mandated to allocate their profits to provide better benefits to their members.

“Opportunity for the Youth” Program

“We will seek additional funds allocated to training programs. Moreover, those programs will incentivize the incursion into new careers for young college dropouts or recent high school graduates. Any employment opportunity created by the aforementioned organizations would directly benefit the “Opportunity for the Youth” program. Moreover, the organizations will be contractually bound to facilitate hiring those adolescents participating in the previously named program.”

“I will promote legislation to achieve transparency in economic transactions between shipping companies and brokers. Thereby, the truckers can make better decisions when accepting transporting cargo.”

HEALTHCARE

I believe that when you have any pre-existing condition, you deserve truly affordable quality healthcare. Additionally, no person should receive surprise bills for services they received, but the healthcare provider decided not to pay.

The intent of the Commerce Clause in the constitution is to prevent states from impeding trade across their borders by using protectionist legislation. The U.S. Supreme Court in the United States v. South-Eastern Underwriters Association (1944) ruled that insurance regulation was a federal responsibility. Nevertheless, the insurance industry successfully pressured Congress to enact the McCarran-Ferguson Act. That legislation delegated federal regulatory powers over insurance to the states and protected state insurance regulations from pre-emption by federal law.

I will seek to remove the McCarran-Ferguson Act or amend it in a way in which the Federal government will be able to allow fair competition among all the insurance companies in the Union.

It’s clear that, while the government cannot afford to pay a free health system without raising our taxes, our health system needs reform to make this affordable.[3]

Candidate Connection

Frank Polo Sr. completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey in 2020. The survey questions appear in bold and are followed by Polo's responses. Candidates are asked three required questions for this survey, but they may answer additional optional questions as well.

Expand all | Collapse all

Frank Polo has based his political career on the fight against corruption and on improving the lives of others in society. Polo is a forty-eight years old Conservative father of two seven years old twins, and he is a faithful husband. He was born and raised in Cuba in a catholic family with great family values.

Frank Polo is an ex-telecommunications business owner with an education in telecommunications, advanced Tax-Law and a Bachelor's degree in business administration. He owned and ran his international telecommunications company in over fourteen countries for over seven years.

At the age of twenty-two, Frank Polo escaped Castro's Cuban tyranny on a raft in 1994 and was transported to the U.S. Naval Base of Guantanamo Bay, where he was detained for ten months. This last fact makes Polo the first Cuban rafter to run for U.S. Congress.

  • Besides the fight against corruption in the family court system, Frank Polo's agenda shows an interest fighting drug trafficking and consumption in schools.

  • It is important to Frank Polo to allow young students, who cannot continue their education, to enroll into other professions through the participation of private sector actors. Also, lowering student loans cost and achieving higher school retention are among Frank Polo's educational priorities.

  • Bringing better jobs with better pay, and lowering the cost of health insurance, while lowering the housing cost are other of the priorities that define Frank Polo's agenda.

Family Law, International Law, Healthcare, National Security, and protection of our youth from violence while protecting the second amendment.

I would like to follow the example of those who have fought for freedom and justice for all. I would like to follow the example of our founding fathers. I strongly believe that we are all born equal; therefore, we should all have equal rights under the law.

Candidates must follow the law and create laws base on the best interest of the people and not this of those financing their campaigns.

A leader with well-defined honest character, with the ability to lead others through difficult times, and a policy/law making skills.

The core responsibilities are lawmaking and policy drafting as it was conceived by the framers of the Constitution. The house members have a responsibility to make laws representing the popular will.

A better country and a more just society for our children.

My first job was as a busboy and I had it for over a year.

The house of representatives is one of the most important institutions in our government. In the house is where many laws are born, and those directly affect the lives of many Americans. The decisions made at the house can change the course of history and may, as well as may not, improve the lives of our families.

It is always beneficial to have previous experience in government or politics. Nevertheless, other real-life, as well as educational experience can substitute for government experience.

The economic recovery would be one of the nation's greatest challenge. We have to work hard to recover many lost jobs and bring the economy back to the lowest unemployment rates we were enjoying before the pandemic.

Homeland Security, Judiciary, Joint Committee on Taxation, Appropriations, or Foreign Affairs.

I believe that two, maximum three terms of 4 years is the right length for representatives.

I believe that two, maximum three terms of 4 years is the right length for representatives.

I have heard many personal stories, most of them related to the corruption in the court system and how many decent, honest, and hard-working parents are losing custody because of court corruption. I believe that is unacceptable, and I believe the family laws must be reformed to provide just and fair solutions to all family cases.

I have also heard many parents worry about their children's future due to drug abuse in public schools. That must be unacceptable in our society. We can all work together to make a change in those two areas.
