Marc D'Amelio

Marc D'Amelio (Republican Party) ran for election to the Connecticut State Senate to represent District 25. D'Amelio lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
In addition to running as a Republican Party candidate, D'Amelio cross-filed to run with the Independent Party in 2018.[1]
D'Amelio was previously a Republican candidate for at-large representative on the Norwalk Public Schools Board of Education in Connecticut. D'Amelio was defeated in the at-large general election on November 7, 2017.
Biography
Education
D'Amelio received a B.A. in political science and government from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1991.[2][3]
Career
D'Amelio has worked for a number of organizations within the apparel industry. He founded Madsoul Clothing Company in 2000 and Level 4 Collective Showroom in 2007.[3] He has held leadership roles with the Norwalk High School Parents Club and Parent Teacher Organization. He was also elected to the Norwalk High School Governance Council for the 2016-2017 school year.[2]

Four of nine seats on the Norwalk Public Schools Board of Education in Connecticut were up for at-large election on November 7, 2017. Incumbent Heidi Keyes (D) won re-election alongside newcomers Sarah LeMieux (D), Barbara Sigrid Allen Meyer-Mitchell (D), and Bruce Kimmel (D). Keyes, Meyer-Mitchell, and LeMieux were also endorsed by the Working Families Party. Incumbent Shirley Mosby of the Working Families Party lost, as did Republican challengers Thomas Cullen, Thomas Donaher, Marc D'Amelio, and John Tessier.[4][5]
