I’m a mom of three, a native of Orlando, a small business owner, and an employer. From an early age, my parents instilled in me a love of our country, our community, and the importance of hard work and giving back. I had to rely greatly on the work ethic they taught me when I became a young, single mom. Today, I am proud to say my children are grown, educated and self-supporting. Two studied at University of Central Florida and are working full time and one is a diesel mechanic working on his own business.

I have been very active in the community helping others and in 2007, I was awarded Orange County D-3 Citizen of the Year. I am a first time candidate, but have been helping the community for many years. When it looked like the current radical woke progressive incumbent would go unchallenged, I agreed to step up.

As your next State Representative, I pledge to work with anyone and everyone who wants to make a difference, regardless of political party.

  • The Federal Government is the main driving force of our high gas prices. I support suspension or tax holiday from the State Gas Tax. This may be small but every bit counts.
  • School Safety Create an environment which lowers the cost of housing by working to remove red tape that hinders home builders while continuing to protect the rural boundaries.
  • Our children are what is most important to us. I support and will work with Law Enforcement to provide Resource Officers in our schools. I support Parent's Rights in Education and I support your right to send your child to the best school possible.

Susan is most passionate about Parental Rights in Education, School Choice, School safety and protecting against federal over reach.

Father Rene Plasencia, because of his reverence for American having fled from Communist Cuba; brother Rene Plasencia, for his work ethic, dedication to young people and determination to take a risk and run for office.

A Representative should work hard for all of the constituents, not just a select few. As a candidate to be the next State Representative, I am open to all points of view. As bills or legislation comes through my desk, I will ask myself three questions:
How will this affect the taxpayer of District 37?
How will this affect Businesses in District 37?
How will this affect the state?

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Florida

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
