ESPN Fantasy Projection: From a fantasy standpoint, Pionk has quickly and quietly developed into one of the most dependable rearguards in the NHL. He's finished between 32-34 points each of the past four seasons. He's also always good for about 10 power-play points and roughly 140 shots on goal. Those numbers won't do much for you in standard formats, but Pionk's contributions a season ago in both the hits (220) and blocked shots (118) categories give him significant value in leagues which value such numbers. The upside here is limited as long as stud Winnipeg rearguard Josh Morrissey remains healthy, but there's a place for Pionk on your roster depending on your settings.
