Cons:Everything - Seating is so cramped. Food was even worse than usual airline food. Will never fly Aer Lingus again

Pros:Due to a hurricane, I actually missed my original flight date, but Aer Lingus allowed me to rebook (2 days later!) at no cost, which was really great of them. Absolutely no wait at check-in and very good service there. Got window seats on both legs of flight, with no one in my row. Meals on first flight leg were very good. Crew did a good job and made me confident of their work. Both flight legs arrived early. Everything went well. Very good airline - I will certainly fly with them again.
Cons:It seems that there was no snack or beverage on the second leg of flight (ca. 3 hours), but I probably just slept through it. Price seemed high for this route and season, but it was much better than any other airline: flying has become expensive in the COVID era. But Aer Lingus keeps us moving ahead. Great job!

I got rerouted to another flight/city because the original flight was late and I would not have made my connection. I had to wait an additional five hours (no compensation) for the new flight which was also delayed because the computer was not working. Arrived at my final destination after nearly 20 hours of travel only to discover that my baggage had not arrived with me. Two days later and still waiting for my baggage. Customer service has been incredibly unhelpful and even hung up on me because I dared to ask for them to have someone call me when my bag arrived at the airport. No one apologized to me for what I experienced and they were dismissive of the fact that I have absolutely no clothes or toiletries. Absolutely awful, disorganized and stressful experience. Am dreading the return flight.

Pros:Going through US Customs in Dublin is great, makes The landing home so much easier.
Cons:The airline made people unnecessarily nervous by posting a very early boarding time so people thought they had to jump in line in customs when, in fact, we all had the same departure times and all had plenty of time.

Cons:They do not offer free bags to America anymore.

Aer Lingus contact information

Overview of Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus is a national airline of Ireland and operates out of its hub in Dublin. Flying extensively throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, popular vacation destinations such as France, Greece and Croatia make up a large portion of their seasonal routes. It has operated services across the Atlantic Ocean to New York since 1958 and has since expanded to offer more than 10 other American cities.

In 2015 it was bought by the International Airline Group and now exists as a subsidiary of the company alongside other European airlines Vueling, Iberia and British Airways. Codeshare agreements are in place with a number of other carriers including United Airlines, Etihad Airways, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines and WestJet. Despite having a limited number of scheduled flights through North America, Aer Lingus is able to offer a range of services via these codeshare agreements.

Preferring to use only Airbus planes, the Aer Lingus fleet is predominantly made up of short-to-medium range jets such as the A320 family. Boeing and British Aerospace aircraft have been phased out of the fleet. A distinctive green shamrock leaf is located on the tail of the aircraft. All flights within Europe operate with just an Economy cabin; however, longer transatlantic services also offer Business Class.

It exists as the official airline of the Irish Rugby Team, helping the players and staff fly across the world to compete in tournaments. The faces of star players have been detailed on the body of some of the aircraft, dubbed the Green Spirit. The regular shamrock feature is stylized within a rugby ball on these special models.
