I love ordering books through bookshop.org! The inventory is incredible, and being able to support a local bookstore with every order makes each purchase matter all the more. I’m a longtime supporter of brick and mortar bookshops, and I understand why they can’t always have on their shelves all the titles their customers want, so this is a great way to find the book you want AND help your favorite bookstore survive.

Buying here is a little pricier than some options, but it's worth it to support small local bookstores while having access to a wide selection of books! Bookshop.org ships fast and I've never had an issue with an order.

I always look to Bookshop.org first when shopping online for a book I need, and I always get my friends and family gift cards to Bookshop.org! I love the mission to support indie bookstores, and the service from Bookshop.org is always excellent.

You're simply the best. Books are packed with care (unlike Amazon, where books often arrive damaged and are hardly worth the cost savings), delivered in a timely fashion, the selection and recommendations are wonderful (as always), and, of course, the support for local bookstores (Black Garnet in Saint Paul) is of topmost importance to me. I am SO grateful for this option when I can't get out to my local bookseller. Keep up the great work.

Had so many bilingual childrens books for me to choose from as a gift for my friends with a multi-lingual household (plus a cookbook I had my eyes on). And everything shipped super fast allowing me to have the gifts in time for an event even though I ordered a little too close to the day.

“To The Anesthesiologist” gripped my seven-month-pregnant-self with a realism my heart is so grateful for. Brutally transparent, it allowed me to read the words of an experience not many are brave enough to transcribe. It was personal, honest and raw, and gave an insight into the birth of motherhood.

Original order sent quickly but damaged in transit. Notified Bookshop by email and they sent replacement items the same day and then issued returns label for damaged books. Excellent service.

I ordered a book but there was a problem with my address and it was returned as “undeliverable “ I was in contact with Support and they remedied the situation and resent the book to me in record time!

Received my first order of children’s books. They’re really sweet, came fast and were well packed. Each has a magical uniqueness in design, pictures and word choices. I also purchased a thought provoking YA novel and built a long Wish List of all age books I intend to purchase. I had to order a large quantity of books for a launch party and was concerned about the time of the shipment. Elizabeth, a customer service rep, responded to my email promptly and kept on top of the order, asking their distributor to put top priority on it and elevating the shipping method. She was so nice I wanted to invite her to the party!

Easy to find what I was looking for. Prices are slightly higher than can be found elsewhere, but some proceeds go to a local bookstore so I'm all for it. Shipping was fast and the whole process was smooth.
