    Fiat Chrysler set to invest $400 million in its India operations over the next two years

    Synopsis

    While a formal announcement on this investment is likely to be made in the coming days, the Italian-American corporation said last month that it would set up a $150 million digital hub in Hyderabad, to support its global operations.

    MUMBAI: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has decided to invest $400 million (Rs 2,920 crore) in its India operations over the next two years, as the maker of the Jeep SUVs plans to launch new vehicles in this market, increase local sourcing and set up a digital hub.Partha Datta, FCA India’s president and managing director, said $250 million of the investment would go toward launching four India made or assembled SUVs over the next two years.
