BANGALORE: IIMs will release details of CAT 2010 registration on October 21. Although the registration of the online test ended on October 7, neither the IIMs nor Prometric, the testing agency, has released details of number of candidates enrolling for online test.

The US-based testing agency, which has a five-year contract to hold CAT, issued a statement on Thursday saying, "We are analysing the data collected during the registration period and cannot release additional numbers until that process is complete. A final report with more information about the number of candidates who registered will be handed to the IIMs during the week of 18th October. The IIMs will decide when and what information to release."

Prof Himanshu Rai, CAT convener 2010 and chairman, admission at IIM-Lucknow, told TOI IIMs will release the registration details on October 21, six days before this year's edition of the online exam kicks-off. He, however, confirmed IIMs have managed to sell only 2.06 lakh vouchers this year. Last year 2.41 lakh candidates had registered for the debut edition of the online version of CAT.
