    TRS clear winner in Telangana, a mixed bag in Andhra Pradesh: Exit polls

    HYDERABAD: Exit polls on Sunday predicted a clear winner in Telangana in the recent Lok Sabha (LS) elections with most pollsters giving TRS anywhere between 10 and 16 seats (of total 17). In Andhra Pradesh, however, it was a mixed bag with some surveys predicting YSRCP will get the majority of the (25) seats, while others said TDP has the edge.

    As per Times Now–VMR survey, YSRCP would bag 18 LS seats, while TDP would win seven. On the other hand, India Today Axis predicted YSRC would win 18-20 seats and TDP 2-6 with one seat going to Others. CNN New 18- IPSOS survey predicted 10-12 seats for TDP, while YSRCP might win 13-14 seats and Others one seat.

    Today’s Chanakya has given 17 seats to TDP and 8 for YSRCP, while Republic–Jan Ki Baat gave 8-12 seats to TDP 13-16 for YSRCP and one for Others. Republic-C Voter pollsters have predicted 14 seats for TDP and 11 for YSRCP. NewsX-Neta gave only five seats to TDP but gave YSRC 20 LS seats.

    In the case of Telangana, Times Now-VMR survey indicated TRS would get 13 seats and one each for Congress, BJP and two for Others.

    As per India Today-Axis survey, TRS would get 10-12 seats, Congress 1-3, BJP 1-3 and Others one seat. Today’s Chanakya predicted 14 seats for TRS, one each for Congress, BJP and Others. Republic-C Voter survey too gave a similar prediction. Republic Jan Ki Baat survey also predicted on similar lines but said the party might win 14- 15 seats. CNN News 18- IPSOS survey said TRS would win between 12 and 14 seats, Congress, BJP winning 1-2 seats, and Others one seat.
