    A 95-year-old World War II veteran was left shocked to find a bullet stuck in his neck, which he found only after doctors conducted an X-ray. According to a Global Times report, Zhao He was at the hospital in Linyi, Shandong Province, for a physical examination on Friday, October 21, when the doctors found a bullet stuck in his neck.

    According to his’s son-in-law, Wang, Zhao participated in World War II and fought against the Japanese Aggression (1931-1945) and the subsequent War of Liberation between (1946-1949). Wang claimed that the veteran was injured while carrying a comrade across a river during the war, which also left a lot of shrapnel inside his body.

    Wang added that Zhao also participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953). Following his retirement from the armed forces, Zhao worked in multiple factories, but the bullet in his neck never troubled him.



    Per media reports, Zhao remembers nothing about the bullet and how it got stuck in his neck. Thankfully, doctors confirmed that the bullet did not harm the veteran even after 77 years. However, doctors said that they wouldn’t be pulling out the bullet as it could harm the patient, given his age. Netizens were left in shock and praised the man for his contributions.
