Cyclone Tauktae: Thiruvananthapuram faces weather’s wrath
In view of heavy rainfall warning, India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued alert for Kerala and red alert for Thiruvananthapuram on May 14. IMD had predicted ‘heavy to very heavy rainfall’ at a few places with extremely heavy falls at ‘isolated places’ in the state. Rainfall might lead to water logging in low-lying areas. High waves and sea incursion damaged have been reported in coastal areas.
