Synopsis

Netflix has rolled out a system that charges fees for ‘extra member’ sub-account in Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, and Spain. And it is likely to be extended to more countries. While some experts believe the new policy may hamper the platform’s growth, others feel that if Netflix slashes prices and offers good content, the move can benefit it.

When Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, visited India last month he made it clear that the country was one of the fastest-growing market for the company.
