Synopsis

The pandemic has been a boon to the Chennai- based water-treatment company. The elevated sense of hygiene and frequent handwashing have resulted in higher water usage, churning out more waste water in turn. While the opportunity is pushing its stock up, the company needs to deftly handle government clients known for delayed payments.

Check out these pointers on how India fares in access to clean water and treating effluents and sewage: Last year, a Niti Aayog report said that 21 cities including Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai would run out of groundwater supply by 2020. The National Green Tribunal asked for 100% wastewater to be treated before dumping it into rivers.
