Synopsis
Most of us think we are too clever to fall for phishing attacks. I thought so too. All it takes is a moment of weakness or carelessness. I found this out the hard way.
There are times many of us – I am no exception here – pride ourselves for not falling for online phishing scams. This sounds obvious and simple, right? In my late grandmother’s words: “This is hardly a Kambar sutra”. It means this is not as complex as Tamil poet Kambar’s compositions. Only that it isn’t. These phishing links have ‘.ru’ or other dubious-looking extensions. Apart from the strikingly similar webpage, the URL will be different from
