    Data Protection draft likely to be released soon for public consultation

    Synopsis

    This latest version of the Bill—first mooted in 2017-- is currently being circulated within the government and legal opinion has been sought, the sources said. Based on the feedback, certain aspects are being “tightened” while some more “explanatory” additions are being made, said one official cited above.
