    UP Brij Teerth body to start a ropeway each in Vrindavan, Barsana

    Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad has launched ropeway projects in Barsana and Vrindavan to ease traffic congestion and provide a comfortable experience for tourists, especially senior citizens. The Barsana project costing Rs 15.87 crore includes 12 trolleys with a capacity to carry over 500 people per hour, enhancing safety with standby rescue teams. Meanwhile, the Vrindavan ropeway project's feasibility report is in progress, aiming to connect key temples and reduce travel time between Vaishno Devi temple and Darul parking to 32 minutes.

    After Vrindavan and Barsana, Mathura also wants meat-liquor ban

    Declaring a nagar panchayat as a holy shrine means no non-vegetarian food or liquor can be sold here. Many other prominent religious spots in other states have such status but this is a first for UP.

    Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) to revive 7 heritage cities

    Finance minister Arun Jaitley in his budget speech had provisioned this in order to make heritage cities economic growth engines.
