A multi country campaign to end the use of single use plastic straws.
Was active in India, Australia and Netherlands.
The focus is to make consumers aware that they have the right to refuse a simple thing as a straw and ultimately the goal is to get restaurants/cafes/bars to stop serving them. We managed to get over 25 partners on board.

The focus is to make consumers aware that they have the right to refuse a simple thing as a straw and ultimately the goal is to get restaurants/cafes/bars to stop serving them. We managed to get over 25 partners on board.
However, through this campaign we learnt about the need to understand an issue from multiple angles. While single use plastic straws are often seen as damaging to the environment, they are considered essential (and life saving) by especially those who have disabilities. It is critical to balance the needs and understand the viewpoints of different sides. Having this understanding allowed us to have more meaningful conversations and provide solutions that work for everyone.
