6 new courses launched in DU School of Open Learning; aimed at providing job oriented skills

The courses were launched following the due approval from the Distance Education Bureau and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The courses will also stride to provide more courses for those interested in doing an MBA. The goal of these courses is to create more job oriented skill for the future generations and providing them with the skillset to take them forward.

Delhi University has launched six new courses with the aim to provide more job-oriented programs for students. These courses include a Master of Business Administration, as part of the School of Open Learning (SoL). The Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh stated that the SoL has completed 60 years and no new courses have been announced in a long time.

"We are launching six new courses in SOL. The first course in Master of Business Administration. The second is Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Arts-Economics (Hons), Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences, Masters of Library and Information Sciences," said Singh.

The courses were launched following the due approval from the Distance Education Bureau and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The courses will also stride to provide more courses for those interested in doing an MBA.


The goal of these courses is to create more job oriented skill for the future generations and providing them with the skillset to take them forward.

"These are very important courses--BBA, MBA, which is a very prestigious course of DU, Bachelor of Management Studies. There are management courses and job-oriented courses. A lot of students are unable to get admission into Economic courses in regular mode. This is also a flagship course of Delhi University," she said.
