NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel, India's largest and world's third largest mobile operator, on Wednesday reported a sequential growth of 10.85 per cent in June quarter net profit at Rs 1,462 crore, which was above ET Now poll estimates of Rs 1,327 crore.

The company had reported net profit of Rs 1,319 crore for March quarter.

Airtel reported average revenue per user of Rs 196 while its data ARPU was up Rs 21 to Rs 202. Total revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 25,572.9 crore compared with Rs 23,670.9 crore in the same quarter last year. The company's overall subscribers on June 30, 2016 was 357.8 million across 19 countries.


Consolidated mobile data revenues grew 34.1% YoY at Rs 4,640 crore. Mobile data traffic at 194.8 billion megabytes grew by 62.5% for the quarter over the corresponding quarter last year.


Ebitda margins for the quarter stood at 37.4 per cent, which was above analysts' estimates.

Consolidated wireless revenue for the quarter under review was Rs 15,052 crore while the revenue from the company's businesses in India was up 10.3 per cent QoQ.
