Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 86.08 crore), Indian Renewable(numbers of share traded: 15.97 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 12.07 crore), Castrol India(numbers of share traded: 11.13 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 9.76 crore), MMTC(numbers of share traded: 7.93 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.51 crore), HUDCO(numbers of share traded: 7.33 crore), Sakuma Exports(numbers of share traded: 6.97 crore) and Davangere Sugar(numbers of share traded: 6.94 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 162.66 points up at 24286.5, while BSE Sensex ended up 545.35 points at 79986.8.

On the other hand, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
