Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: G G Engineering(number of shares traded: 7.63 crore), Seacoast Shipping(number of shares traded: 2.65 crore), Indian Renewable(number of shares traded: 1.75 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), Unitech(number of shares traded: 1.45 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.44 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 0.90 crore), Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 0.89 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 0.88 crore) and GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 0.85 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:50AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 9.0 points down at 20087.6, while BSE Sensex was down 79.7 points at 66822.21 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.92 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.83 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.70 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
