Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 37.24 crore), Indian Renewable(number of shares traded: 23.51 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 11.24 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 9.89 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 9.63 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 8.74 crore), FCS Software(number of shares traded: 7.50 crore), Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 5.63 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 5.14 crore) and Alok Industries(number of shares traded: 4.78 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:10AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 19.45 points up at 21016.55, while BSE Sensex was up 31.5 points at 69960.03 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.86 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.99 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 3.43 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
