Brazil creates new ministry for indigenous peoples; Sonia Guajajara appointed as first minister

Two more women were inaugurated into Brazil's new cabinet on Wednesday, filling the posts of racial equality minister and minister of Indigenous people. The new Racial Equality Minister Anielle Franco paused when speaking of her sister, a politician who was assassinated in Rio de Janeiro in 2018. President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was at the inauguration ceremony in Brasilia.
