Ignorance truly is bliss. Ask the folks running the Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM). While claim ratio for the scheme has been 80% in the tiny union territories of Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli taken together, it was 8% in the much larger state of Gujarat, and 15% in Jharkhand. Compare that with the figures for the INR1.5 lakh crore health-insurance industry a year ago — it settled 40 million claims with
