The New York–based AI Now Institute has released a report by its director of global strategy and programmes Amba Kak, detailing eight case studies of how biometric systems are regulated around the world. They span city, state, national, and global efforts, as well as some from non-profit organisation. The goal is to develop a deeper understanding of how different approaches work or fall short.
